My NAS pre-sale appointment was today, and after two hours of looking through just about every clothing department (within our budget) with my sister, I am beat! So now it's time to cull through what I brought home and ensure that everything is worth keeping.

(Items not pictured, but already deemed "keepers" - yellow Halogen seamed knit pencil skirt, duplicate of my favorite bra, Oroblu Tricot microfishnet hose.)

As for the rest:
#1: Maroon wool hat. At first, I felt like Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. Then I wondered if this was too much hat for my short hair. I didn't take the hat home.

#2-3: (Angie, can you tell I'm still looking for soft, drapey 70's blouses?) Liked the cut of this blouse, but wasn't quite as crazy about the colors as I expected to be. In person, I felt like it looked a bit boxier. I left this at the store. But looking at the photos, now I kind of like it better.

#4-6: I fell in love with the color, but really need some opinions on the cut. This is much slimmer than the cut of the blouse in #2-3. I'm not used to the shape but both the sales associate and my sister pointed out the flattering high-cut curved seam from the side, and they both said it was quite slimming. I took this home and it's officially "on trial."

#7-8: I don't think the photos I took do this sweater justice, and I'll try to take some later. (This is the Halogen back-cutton knit top - there are tiny buttons at the nape of the neck.) The drape of this top is phenomenal and I think it looks better in person. My sister raved over it. I'm all but committed to keeping it.

#9-11: This blouse is more pricey than what I normally spend on a top, even on sale; but it is LOVELY. Beautifully cut, beautiful colors (#11 is a bit more true to color, since the dressing room I was in at the time had terrible lighting.) I wore this with the yellow Halogen pencil skirt, which brought out the yellow-gold tones in the top well. My question is - is it a "10"? I don't want to keep it if it's not absolutely perfect. I did bring it home, though, because I was afraid it might go out of stock.
(ETA: in the photo in #9, it looks like it's straining across the bust. In real life, it really isn't at all - I think it's because of the way the wavy pattern appears on my chest. I'll try to take some clearer photos later.)

I am trying to be really picky about the items I allow into my wardrobe, so please, let me know what you really think - even about the items that I *didn't* bring home. Thank you!
