I've been looking at Indian wedding wear for a while and found an outfit I liked for a summer wedding on the website India Emporium. The outfit is custom made, shipped via DHL and costs less than $500, which seems reasonable, given the tailoring and thr fact that it is special occasion.

I haven't bought wedding wear, but one of my closest friends, who is Pakistani, flew to Pakistan to have all of her outfits made because it was significantly cheaper. In her case, she needed seven different dresses, whereas I only need one, and she was able to work with the tailors in person, whereas I am reliant on what I see online.

Have any of you had experience ordering from India and did the outfits live up to your expectations? Were the prices competitive? Or are you better of going to the nearest metropolitan city?
