what to wear for a bachelorette party(ETA:picture added)

Passing the initial shock I was thinking that maybe the dress in the picture with my boutique9 shoes and some fresh pearl earrings might do.(again smart casual in Golf Club for tea )
What do you think? Any suggestions to build on it?

Buying and dressing for weddings and related parties is something I really dread.
Very kindly I was invited to a bachelorette party.It will be at a Golf Club in he middle of the day.
What does one wear for this?The invite says smart casual without any jeans.
Please can you give me suggestions?

Celia: You have such a wonderful way with skirts and dresses. What do you wear that makes you feel really fab? What makes you smile at the mirror?

In my experience, really liking what you're wearing helps me be more warm and outgoing in these structured social experiences. I'd suggest looking at pics of your outfits, or laying some combinations out on the bed to get started.

I love the dress with some heels (I am not sure what your Boutique9's are but I suspect they have a heel?) and jewelry. Perfect. I think we would call this a wedding shower in the US? A pretty color dress is perfect for that.

No, a bachelorette party is usually evening, drinks, dress up. A wedding shower is taking a gift, mid day, with dainty sandwiches, tea etc.

I would wear date night clothes, assuming it is evening. But some golf courses have strict clothing rules, so no bare shoulders, or super short skirts.

I like this dress and I totally think you could dress it up

A the invite says specifically Tea @1pm so I guess it is more a wedding shower.It also says smart casual dress code with no jeans in any color.

I like this dress a lot, Celia! And yes, it would be occasion appropriate styled as you described. Post a jacket and skirt too, if you have a combination you really like, but I think this dress would be lovely in any case!
