Need advice on possible purchase, ordering from overseas

I saw these amazing horn bracelets on her blog months ago and have been drooling over it ever since. http://maitaicollectionhorn.blogspot.com/
I have never ordered anything outside the US and a bit leary. I do love it and haven't seen anything remotely simular locally or on the web and I know I would wear thse all the time. Should I take the "plunge"?

I order from outside the country all the time - granted mostly from the US, but also Britain and Singapore for example. The most important thing is to check the reviews[ I would hesitate if there were none available. If you pay with paypal your order is insured I believe. Hope that helps!

So far, the only country I feel comfortable ordering from is Korea - I'd gotten great products and service from multiple sellers there. China and UK have both been major hassles for me, so I think it is a toss up. If you order, keep in mind that even if you are protected for your purchase amount by Paypal you will still probably have to pay return shipping - which is $38 regardless of weight if you want it tracked (and you do, trust me).

I've ordered from the UK several times with no issues, but do be aware that there may be customs fees, which can be an expensive surprise.

I've ordered from Singapore, UK as well. I mostly check their facebook pages for comments and reviews, and see if they accept PayPal. That gives some assurance. Also, check if they have a returns policy - very important for clothes, in case the fabric is lousy or the size is wrong.

lovely bracelets but i hear you on the international concern. i ended up getting a wrong item from China (didnt even realize i was ordering from China!) and it would have cost as much to send back the wrong item with tracking to get my money back via the PayPal dispute as it would have been just to let the money go so just FYI the PayPal protection is NOT 100%. Whatever it costs to send back the inaccurately described/broken etc item is on you which like Rae said could be $40 for a $28 item in my case.
