Need a sanity check: new blouses ETA decision made on the bottom

I stumbled across a fab quality blouses in Cleo today - 70% cotton / 30% silk fabric, soft and draping well and amazing on the skin. In the sea of poly summer tops they really stand out for me.

I really like the colors and pattern is fun IMO. I also think these blues look good on me. The catch - it is petite size I sized up to XL to get some length so it is more roomier fit now. Amazingly the shoulders are in the right place - it seems they don't change much between sizes. It is not very sheer but white bottoms grin so if I keep it I would wear a white cami with them . Is length OK? Is the fit too boxy?

This is a regular size but I decided to size up anyway to get a roomier fit - it looks more intentional this way. The colors are more muted than in the first one and it is longer.

What do you think? Any of them is a keeper? Color wise I have a higher happiness rate with the 1st one but the 2nd one does not make me unhappy either.
What is your verdict - keep any?

BTW don't mind the sock with the slippers: I am stretching them via (almost) Angie's method with wet socks

I love the print in #1 and an untucked cami takes away the grinning. Is it a smidge too short in the front?

The fit on #2 is more modern and the print s fun too, just not as fun as the first.

I really like the color and pattern of the first one, but I think you need the regular size- I like the length of the second one much better.

I think #2 is a keeper!

Oooh. Your feet must feel squishy. I prefer number fit in 2 and colours in 1. The colours are really nice! Inky blue and cobalt....very nice on you. Are these tops to cool your colour palette?

Can you get the first one in a regular size? I love that pattern for you.

I like the second one, too, just not as much.

#1 is a great dramatic print for you, but yeah it does look a bit short. Perhaps it'd work well with skirts though? That sleeve shape could be really fun with a pencil skirt. #2 fits nicely, though the print is much less dramatic. Good for days when you want something softer

Love the vibrancy and pattern of the first one for you Sveta but like others, I wonder if it's a bit too short. Do you want me to check my local Cleo and see if they have it in regular?

What a nice fabrication! I like them both, but I think you'll be glad if you're able to locate the first one in a regular cut. If not, it would certainly work with skirts, either tucked or not. I love these colorways!

What is it with Cleo making some of their stuff only in petite? It seems strange....

I kind of applaud them for it -- seems as though it's usually an inequality the other way around.

Cleo also sells some of their items only in regular - so I guess they figure this makes it "even" - lol!

Looks like the one I prefer in color is too short (no, it was not all in my head!) I think I will play with it anyway because it may still work for semi-tuck, no?
Yep, the first one is in Petite only. And Ceit, while I feel for petite ladies and all for getting more clothes in Petite sizes you cannot avoid the fact that Tall sizes are much more scarce that even Petite ones Actually I am really surprised this second shirt is a good length for me even if I had to size up for it - usually all Cleo tops are WAY too short for me in regular length!
I wonder that if I have not seen these 2 shirts together and just found the second one I would not have a reservations on keeping it because colors are nice...just I like the first one color-wise better!
I think I will need to sleep on this and maybe play in my closet...

Oh wow. Sizing is such a pain. The #1 print/color definitely does something fab for you that #2 does not quite achieve. Isn't that interesting? As in the blog on picking prints. Good luck!

I cut the tag from #1. I decided that if the color and pattern makes me so happy I will make the shirt work. It is not terribly short either, I think it fells into Angie's rule of 1 - 3" above the crotch point and longer than some of my other button downs. I decided that with 3 pairs of BF jeans, 1 pair of white trousers and one pair of cropped pants I have enough options to wear it tucked or semi-tucked. It will not look its best with skinnies and clams at this length but will look fine with skirts.
I am still undecided on #2, not sure if those muted blues are my friends enough to keep it. What would you do?

Love #1 and glad you decided to cut the tags. It is really just a hair short and as you said, you can style it to minimize that. I think i'd pass on #2 to allow for another find as fab as #1 colorwise to enter your closet when you come by it later in the summer.

Good decision, Sveta. I prefer 1, but it think the length is a deal breaker. Had i not seen one, I would have said 2 was a keeper.

I 'm sure you will be able to make the first shirt work. Are the shoes you are stretching the MeToo smoking slippers!?

I say keep the first one, then, and return the second. You can always go back for it later if it still calls.
