Navy shoes- your opinion please

I've been looking for an ink/navy shoe since last summer. I have a casual pair of sandals and the great Zara boots but I need a shoe.

What do you think of these?

I haven't see any old ladies wearing those at the club;) I think u r safe! Lol! Very sleek, IMHO. They don't look terribly comfortable but that's coming from team flat.

So elegant. I must confess that I can find Navy shoes a little frumpy but these are modern, current and elegant. Go forth and purchase

Deborah, SO many of the ones I see are frumpy and/or just a plain pump. I do like the pointy toe and the wedge.

No frump at all. I like them! I wonder if they read lighter in IRL. They look black online.

Love the wedge and the pointed toe...The Duchess of Cambridge wears a similar SW wedge in black...very chic and ready to go...Definitely not frumpy or matronly...

I think the shoes are lovely in a very classic way. Which could be a good or a bad thing. I wouldn't buy them because I've bought classic style footwear in the past & have always ended up regretting it - for me there needs to be a funkier element or I'm not going to love them.

We both pin a lot of the same footwear Susie, so I hope you don't mind me giving you my take on these. If this doesn't resonate with you then feel free to ignore me

Caro, I don't mind a bit and I totally get what you are saying. And if I wore these with a navy suit, that would definitely be too much classic for me! I was hoping that they would read as a bit more modern and I do think it's often in the styling.

I will ponder a bit more.

I'm sure it is in the styling & they could work really well. What you say is interesting because I'd be very happy wearing the right navy suit but I would need to wear it with non-classic shoes

I really like these (and I have a poison eye towards navy) - I think the pointy toe makes them current.

I don't like having to wear black shoes with navy, so I have been looking for navy pumps or wedges. However, I tried those same shoes and sent them back. I have narrow, bony feet and my usual size (8.5) was tight. I didn't love them enough for a larger size. They aren't matronly looking, though.
