NAS wishlist 2022 - share yours!

NAS preview is starting in two days and I am super excited. My wardrobe is in pretty good place, and there isn't much I need. Thus, my wishlist includes "nice to have" items, and I can be quite picky about choosing just the right ones. Please share yours!

Black sheath dress
Black patent booties
Navy leather tote
Off-white leather moto
Burgundy textured/plaid blazer
Wool midi coat in either burgundy, off-white or light blue
Suit in either burgundy, off-white or eggplant
Almost anything in teal (any shade) and amethyst (very specific, bright mid purple shade)
Items with subtle steampunk/dark romance vibes

Mine consists of mostly wardrobe basic items I've been putting off:

Dark wash bootcut jeans
Black cashmere sweater
White/light color belted puffer
Small crossbody in camel or other color
Camel low heel booties
Knit or relaxed fabric oversized blazer
Pullover sweater in fun color
Winter long sleeve casual/everyday dress
Long sleeve blouse

I do not need anything. But I would like a plaid wool jacket. I like the Court snd Rowe jacket, except for the furry collar. It’s a deal breaker for me.

I could definitely use some black transitional shoes-mules or slingbacks probably. Burgundy pleather pants have been on my wishlist too, and a burgundy sweater.

Excellent list, Tanya! I hope you find great versions that tick off the boxes.

I'm open to anything that is DRESSY! Smart Casual is good too. Have an eye on:

classic navy coat (to replace a 14 year old one)
light blue, pale pink, or burgundy coat
Hugo Boss Suit
tuxedo (but not black)
.......and always in the mood for fun pants, trendy jeans, big skirts, and pretty dresses

I'm waving to Rachy because I can feel my puffer gene erupting! If I see another short smashing puffer that isn't down - I'm in. Workhorses for doggie walking, on the WA beaches especially.

Oh good thought, Angie! Lol But no, I really hope there is a good Bernardo puffer this year, now that you mention it. Did I say how my office chair murdered my favorite Bernardo puffy? It’s fluffy guts were spilled all over the floor!

I tend to buy the same kind of items every year:
Chantelle bras
Paige or Joe's jeans
jackets
sweaters
shoes
cosmetics
often scarves and belts

This year I hope to find a special item--not sure what--and get that. And bras. I don't need jeans, sweaters, or belts.

I do need a nice pair of dressy pants. I hope Tahari has something for me. Their pants used to fit me perfectly, but my body has changed.

Since I rarely wear makeup anymore, my old stuff is mostly dried out. I'll be looking for eye makeup and lipstick, lip pencil.

Last year I had a really great NAS. The only "must buy" on my list for this year is undergarments. Beyond that, I'll keep an eye out for accessories, pajamas, and tops and sweaters I can wear to work. I'm looking forward to the preview tomorrow.

I would love to find a pair of flat or very low heeled boots in dark gray
If I get boots, a warm but supple skirt or two, and
a warm enough dress, preferably in a jewel tone print. V-neck or faux wrap
A pair of dark gray or dark silver flats that zip or tie or similar (has to stay on my heels)
100% cotton sweaters in red, purple, teal, pink, or a print, or must breathe.
Long sleeve tops
A kimono like sweater
Pants in those colors
1 or more happy print tops in good for me colors in breathable material
A white skirt for summer, maybe early fall
A white or clear light pink raincoat
A short coat
A warm hat
Maybe a puffy if JFE.
Fun jewelry- willing to be surprised. If metal, sterling silver.

General surprise- One year I purchased a lightweight cotton kimono like item from the lingerie section that ended up being a perfect summer topper. I’d love to be surprised.

Now, keep in mind this is way more than I have found in all the past NAS’s put together. I usually get 2-3 items.

I love to buy boots at NAS. I would love a new bag too. Also a cape like the Court and Rowe. I must say this cape might be the one.

I’m slightly in denial that it’s NAS time again haha. I think my only must buy item at the moment is a pair of dark wash slim straight jeans. There’s one each in both styles I like this year - rag and bone Dre and AG Ex-boyfriend so I’ll probably just get both and keep the one I like better.

Other than that possibly some new sneakers if they have a style/color I like (I want blush pink).

And whatever wild card items catch my eye! I’m always on the lookout for dark florals and teal.

Things I don’t need this year are coats and boots. But no guarantee I won’t get some anyway!

I have not begun to think about it -- ooops!

I know I'll shop for underwear, as ever. That is a genuine need. And I will hope for footwear.

Otherwise, I'm open to a surprise.

I did a quick perusal of the preview last night. I don't need anything but would like to replace underwear. I'm hoping the Chantelle bikini style is good this year. The only other thing I'd consider getting are Ecco sneakers and a crossbody. My Tumi from last year is still going strong but I wouldn't mind another option (I use it daily.) I don't need either but those are things that I will definitely keep in rotation.

I took a look through the preview today. I don't see anything I'm dying to have, but a few things I liked (the turquoise blouse or dress in particular and the camel tote.)

Going through now. There’s a lot I like compared to last year! I’ll have to do a second pass to winnow out that which I like but is not me.

Just one thing: I need to have my hand slapped away from this - red and blue plaid with puff sleeves. My two greatest nemeses/addictions

I'm looking to add a complement in a new color that can refresh my wardrobe, so I'm in the market for a handbag and shoes and if I'm lucky, a clothing item that picks up that color. Not sure what color that will be! That will be the surprise, because NAS always brings surprises. I'm looking forward to Angie's picks and her guidance. Thank you everyone for sharing your fun lists, both before and after the preview. I had a look, and most of the items I like are jackets and tops. There are some good matches with my original list (burgundy suit, off-white moto, dark romance blouses). I am thinking on what to try.

I was hoping for a Zella long sleeve exercise T and a silver belt to replace the one that's wearing out but none are to be seen. . .will check back in a few weeks.

Otherwise, I'll try the mules, the sweater vests, the basic camisole and layering Ts, and see how the pullovers are. Not sure the pullovers will work in terms of color and layering underneath and on top. Even if I've purchased a style in the past (camisole, layering Ts, and cashmere pullover), there's no guarantee that this year's model and color will fit the same. Besides, those and the others are all in regular (vs. petite) sizing, meaning they are very long in sleeves and body so barely this side of ridiculous.

Oh, and the Tissot watch. It's hard for me to find faces that are proportional to my wrist. I have an old Seiko similar to the silver and gold one, so I will probably go with the all silver.

I'll also be ordering a couple of Frye belts for DH.

Basically, I'm pretty stocked up on everything so there's nothing I really *need*. I shop year 'round so recently got jeans at Nordies from 40-65% off, bra for 50% off, etc.

I took a quick look through a few categories and nothing really grabbed me at all. I wouldn’t mind another long jacket, but everything now seems to be double-breasted which is no good on me. The colors I saw so far are not super exciting to me either, and I’m still seeing a lot of puffed sleeves and ditsy prints, which are not my jam. Maybe more will come out later. I’m not eager to add much to my wardrobe, if anything, since it’s in a pretty good place. Any temptation would have to be pretty spectacular.

A few blazers and biker jackets caught my eye. They're all quite expensive so they'd have to be really perfect to come home with me. The Vince cotton/linen one is top of my list - I like the style, almost more outerwear than blazer, and it fills a niche in my wardrobe. I wonder if they'll have it in the store so I can try it on. I hate buying and returning so many expensive things.

I've also had my eye on these Vagabond chunky loafers for a while. The Paul Green loafers look great but a bit out of my price range given how many other shoes I have at present.

Excited to see my usual bra in the sale, too! Bras go on sale so rarely...

Overall, I feel like the most interesting things are all on the more-expensive end this year, but plenty of good solid options in the affordable range too! Lots of cotton sweaters and such.
