A few reviews of NAS items from a petite, curvy hourglass (5'3", generally a size 8-10).
Wins
1) Betsey Johnson Dress. Angie's notes on this say it works well for curvy petites, and I can confirm that it does! The cut of the skirt gives it great movement. Knee length on me. I bought this is size 10.
2) Halogen merino cardigan in forest green. Nordstrom seems to have something similar every fall, and since my old ones from a few years ago had started to give up the ghost, I was looking to replenish. This year's are just as nice as my old ones.
Fails (for me)
3) Bobeau fleece cardigan. Super soft, but the quality was *so* bad. A seam was unraveling along the back, and the fabric itself didn't seem to have been cut evenly at the raw edge along the seam--there was literally a bit that was jagged and coming detached.
4) Vince Camuto blazer. Size chart suggested I should get a 10, but that proved too large. Size down if you're between sizes. But the bigger problem for me is that the length was off. Wish it came in petites.
5) Karen Kane dress. I had high hopes for this, but the fit and fabric just didn't work on me. Falls open at the neckline, too tight across my stomach (and I'm quite hourglassy). The fabric is pretty thin and stretchy, so it shows every lump and bump. Sizing up would probably help some, but I'm not convinced that it would help enough.
6) The same Halogen cardigan, but in a different color. The dot print looked cute online, but somehow just odd in person. The dots are *large*. I think it might be less overwhelming on a taller person.
