Deb,
I'm actually a bit nervous about posting to your thread 'cos obviously I don't have anything remotely like Angie's competence to advise you!!! BUT, I am a tall gal with a big bust, and buy ALL my basic sweaters with a V-neck. I usually keep a clutch of cashmere ones for Winter, silk and cotton blend for Summer, in a range of zingy colours, to add the vital 'pop of colour' to basic suits, etc., and always have at least one in each of black, navy, beige, too. I find a V-neck to be the most flattering, since, generally speaking, we bigger busted girls have well-preserved skin over the throat area, which a V shows off nicely. It's also, I find, by far the best sweater shape for layering over the 'essential' crisp white button-down shirt (left open at the neck, so the collar sits nicely over the V, shirt cuffs rolled back over the sweater sleeves). That combo seems to look good for work, but also great with jeans and my staple ballet flats. I don't actually have any Vs with that pretty 'knot', but now I've seen it I wish I did. I love that soft draping over the bust. Go for it, would be my advice!
