It's tough to get good pictures in here at night, but I gave it a shot.

This is an 8 and it may look a little roomy. I could wear a 6, but this will allow for cold weather layering. It has a nice flattering cut, and I like the length. I like that it is fitted without needing a belt. (My old favorite burgundy winter coat is belted.) The pleated back does make it flare out a bit (you can see it in the side view) but I don't have much of a booty so this doesn't bother me. It also doesn't bother me that it does not button all the way up to the neck -- I rarely ever close a coat up that way, and I like scarves with my winter coats anyway (especially since this is black and I can use scarves to soften the effect close to my face). It feels warm enough to me for our winters, which don't tend to be terribly harsh.

I think the bunching in the shoulder in the pic of the side view is a result of the way I'm standing and holding my phone. I couldn't get a good shot of the back, although you can see I tried.

What do you think? I *think* this is a good fit for my style, but it's not terribly edgy. I didn't really see any other wool winter coats at NAS that floated my boat...except for one that is not as versatile, that also wasn't on sale. That one came home with me too, but I'll post pics in a separate thread.

ETA: I just realized I took and posted all these pictures with the top button unbuttoned. It looks better when I actually do it up right, duh.
