Went to the downtown Seattle Nordstrom today--the mother-ship, er, flagship store--to shop for boots. I was after dark brown ankle boots or booties. I ended up getting one of Angie's picks, the Tillie style by Donald J. Pliner. They are very different for me: the pointiest shoe I can remember ever having, and very skinny heel, too. That's part of the reason I decided to get them. They won't look like everything else I already have. And yet, I think they are my style. They ARE yet another addition to my rustic-metallic shoe wardrobe. I think the color is called bronze, but it's like a metallic dark chocoloate color, which is just perfect for my wardrobe.
I've styled them with a dress I made, in a brown-black-gray knit with a stretchy bubble weave. And I've shown them alone so you can see the details.
I'm not really debating whether to keep them--I'm pretty sure they're here to stay--but comments, thoughts, and styling ideas are welcome. Thanks for looking!
