If you're able to shop in the first few days this is probably a lot less important. I'm not a cardholder at all, though, and all or most of my wishlist sells out before I can shop. Catching when restocks pop up is how I've been able to get everything I wanted to try.

The Nordstrom website and app does not show colors or sizes that are completely out-of-stock. See Picture 1 for an example. During the NAS preview, this Caslon long sleeve t-shirt had 6-8 colors, and in at least 6 sizes. Right now, only 2 colors and 4 sizes total are available.
 - You can't add the Purple Sheer color to your Wishlist, because there's no Purple Sheer available in any color.
 -

You can't add a Black Medium, because although there are Black shirts, there's no medium available in any color.
 - You can add the Black Small to your wishlist, because other sizes in Black are still available, and other colors of Small are available. Then you will see it instantly on your Wishlist when Black Small is restocked.
This is how in Picture 2, the Blue Shadow color is still on my wishlist. I added it when the color was available in at least one size. I can click through and it shows me just the black and white now.

I never get email notifications when something on my Wishlist is available, and rarely get app notifications. But this worked:

1. Preview: Put everything you think you might want to try on your wishlist. All colors you're interested in, in all sizes you think you might need to try. (Add Finds for them as well.)

2. During the sale: Use the Nordstrom app on your phone. Leave it up 24/7, on the Wishlist. Every time you pick up your phone, check the wishlist. It will refresh itself, with restocked items at the top. If you see a restock, order right away!

Lots of things on my wishlist sold out before I could order. I was checking the website version of my wishlist periodically for days after that, but didn't see any restocking. It was discouraging. Finally Wednesday late I thought of the app, so I opened it up and discovered how the wishlist would refresh itself. As a result, I ended up ordering 6 newly-restocked items the very next day. All in different orders, as I saw them pop up at different times. (I got notifications for at most 2 of those items.)

I've had a lot of success this year once I implemented this strategy. I know the sale feels like it's winding down, but there are lots of returns rolling in. Hope it helps!
