NAS, Round #2 order, (ETA updates)

Amazingly, a few items that I'd been stalking popped back in. I had almost given up, since it's the last day of the sale. Of the first three tops, I'll probably only keep one, if that. I was on the fence about the dress, but it ticks a lot of boxes, and the reviews are generally great. DH is trying the Cole Haan car coat- a replacement for one that's 20+ years old, and has a ripped lining, and older DS scored a pair of jeans, so my boys are continuing to do well at the sale this year. Now I wait for everything to arrive!

Love the colors of those tops and hope something is a keeper. I added the citron color this past year and have really enjoyed it with dark neutrals like navy and dark denim and olive.

I did some extra NAS shopping for Greg yesterday too. Filling more wardrobe holes. When you lead the rainy and cold on-foot urban life like we do - you need a lot of outerwear!

Joy- you must have been reading my mind! Dark denim and/or olive are on my list for fall purchases. I hadn't thought of combining olive and lime/citron, but it might work with just the right shades and be an unexpected combination.

Barbara Diane- Thanks! With all the time I'm spending on Zoom, I'm much more aware of what I wear on top. A big change, since I'm much more of a "statement shoes" buyer.

Angie- I love that Greg is getting even more outerwear! I showed my husband the Barbour and the Marc coats as well, and he chose the Cole Haan. We guessed on sizing, so I hope it fits.

bonnie- I'm just the opposite- an underbuyer for tops, so I really have to force myself to look for, and buy them. I love the colors of these, so I'm hoping at least one of them works.

The sizing on the CH coat is REGULAR TTS. Not slim-fit. Fingers crossed!

Thanks, Angie! Yes, fingers crossed- we sized up because DH has put on a bit of "COVID 19" around his waist, and he wants to wear it over some bulky sweaters. If we guessed wrong, I'll keep looking to see if it goes back on sale after Labor Day.

Many of my purchases were long-overdue planned purchases for the home we bought two years ago (wine glasses, bath mat), needed by growing kids (shorts, jeans, polo), and replacements for worn out items (bras for me, coat for DH.) So, it was a good year to have a NAS that was focused on basics. And then when the tops popped back, I thought I should have at least a little fun with NAS:). I have my fingers crossed that at least one of my four "fun" items will work out.

Some of my purchases have arrived already. The Cole Haan men's coat was a complete winner on my DH. (Thanks, Angie, for the tip!) We did size up, so he could wear a bulky sweater under it. He's getting back to his old exercise routine, and the coat will still fit, even if he loses his pandemic 15:). The EF magenta top is absolutely gorgeous- lovely color, great quality silk and construction. Alas, my 23.5" head only barely fits through the funnel neck. I was very torn about keeping it, but am holding to PPP, so returning, since I don't want to have to be too precious taking it on and off. The Sweaty Betty top is super cute, and the seam details are a nice touch. I have it coming in lime green as well, so will decide on color once I get that one. I wasn't sure about it, given that the reviews are all over the map, but I think the extra volume works for me, since I have a fairly strong shoulder line.

Thanks for the updates, Kathie! That EF top is so pretty but you are wise to hold out for something that won't be so at risk.

Greg has more winners too! Another three pairs of Zooming shorts, and lounge pants for taking Sam out late at night. The rest of the outerwear is on the way.

Suz, these bottoms are examples of tech fabric Greg is fine with. Retuned the tech fabric bottoms that felt too synthetic.
