Keeping the Kenneth Cole Nutmeg Coat. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

Free People Split Back Turtleneck: The grey one I brought home is too small, as discussed in this post https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....k---keeper Still waiting for one size up in red . Ship date is still TBD even though I ordered it over a week ago. I guess that MIGHT mean they won’t have it.

I’ve been looking for a LBD for about six months, buying, and returning, mostly online at Nordstrom, Macys, and Lord & Taylor. Still have not found “the one”. NAS had a possibility but the fit is way off. It’s a fit and flared style, with ponte fabric so thick that the skirt sticks out like a tutu much more than shown on the model – too MUCH
flare. NEXT.

I need new black low heeled dress shoes for concert performances, and have been searching for a while for these also. I’m bouncing between very classic styles and ones a bit more modern. Tried three from NAS, all no-gos. I have now confirmed that I’v caught that same OLHS that Angie has…Only Low Heels Syndrome, and two of them had 2” heels so NO. (Sudini Bethany an Grey City Ally) The third (Sam Edelman Lorene) was a really pretty suede sling back with a low heel, but the straps fall off my heels unless I make them so tight that my toes jam into the front. Gotta learn to not look at slingbacks. (No finds for these) NEXT.

Franco Sarto Johanna in Dark Burgundy Patent. This was a total impulse buy when I first jumped on the NAS bandwagon this year, and they fit well, look good, and I think they are keepers. I won’t want to wear these fall items until mid September so I’m giving myself until then to make final decisions…no tags will be cut or shoes worn until then.

Ecco Sofft 7 Black sneakers. Really beautiful shoes, very comfortable. The quilting and patent leather toe really take them up a notch, the black ones are “like Chanel” as Angie said. (the metallic find shows the quilting better than the black find) These are a little wider across the ball of the foot than my Kenneth Cole nude sneakers which is good because the KC’s are just a little tight in that area even after multiple wearings. Tried them with bare feet an also with lightweight wool socks just to see how seasonally flexible they are very good. KEEP.

(not NAS put purchased on a day I also visited NAS) :Ugg Sneakers Avelyn Metalic Basket.. Super comfortable. This is my second pair of Uggs and it’s clear that this brand “gets” my feet. I thought the metallic color was more of a bronze until I got them home and realized it’s really more of a blush, and I prefer warmer toned metalics . With my high affinity for color matching I would not wear them much. Also they read as quite sporty, which is a style type I do NOT want to expand within my wardrobe right now. Not as versatile or polished as the Eccos. Happy to have another brand on my short list, but NEXT.

Nordstrom but not NAS: Dr Scholls Peach Suede slip ons; I SO wanted these! I love them and they are perfect for my wardrobe hole of light colored closed toe summer shoes in a dressy espadrilles-with-good-support vibe. Too small and tight, and the heel slipped on the next size up. NEXT. I am getting tired of the hunt on this one and may postpone until next spring.

I'm returning a lot but am glad I didn't sit out as originally planned
