My NAS was modest, but super successful this year: I found a great pair of replacement sunnies that have quickly gone into rotation, a very nice replacement PJ set that is also being used, and a new puffer coat (hi Rachy!) for winter that was on my list.
As I wrote in a previous post, the sunnies are more flimsy than other Ray Ban glasses I've seen, but they really work for me so I am happy to have kept them.
I know the Nordstrom PJs are quite popular and now I see why: the navy color is not-too dark and really flattering and the fabrication is soft and silky without being flimsy. I will have to try to remember to line dry them. I took a M.
I'm particularly excited about the Save the Ducks puffer jacket which I find to be a slightly oversized fit in M. It satisfies a need for a warm hip-length jacket that can be worn for walks on chilly days and in drizzle (my only other puffers are a knee-length coat and a vest) and satisfies a long craving I've had for something in the family of the "It Jacket" that you'll remember appearing about three years ago. Again, I find the fabrication to be very soft and silky in a pleasant way; I appreciate the details of interior cuff (to keep out the cold) and a two-way zipper. It feels like it will be warm but not too bulky, which is exactly what I need. And it slots perfectly into my camel capsule. I've never purchased from this brand before, and I'm pleasantly surprised. Will try to update at some point with a picture.
Beyond that I was really happy to be able to upgrade my straightening iron to a ghd and to have scored a Diptyque candle set this year: both on my list for a long time. The one disappointment was that my yearly order for the large refill of L'Occitane's almond shower oil was canceled, but c'est la vie. I think I did well and am happy that others here did so too!
