NAS Purchases Round Three-Jeans and Cardigan

Hi,

Jeans were an area I knew I wanted to stock up, these are the one's that came home with me. A couple of toppers tagged along.

#1-Design History Sweatervest
This is in the catalog on page 46 and I loved it right away. I also purchased the Equipment Animal Printed top with this vest on page 46 but it is on order.

#2-#3-Joe's High Waist The Skinny Visionaire Jeans
A pair of black skinnies were on my wish list. Do I leave any scrunch when I get these hemmed? Can I wear these with a blazer/shorter top or only tunic/longer length tops?

#4-#5-Amber Sun Moto
I think this is a ponte knit? I have been looking for a moto for a while and liked that the flaps stay flat on this one.

#6-#7-Hudson Collin 12" Leg Skinny
A pair of dark blue skinnies were also on my list. Do I leave any scrunch when I get these hemmed? Can I wear these with a blazer/shorter top or only tunic/longer length tops?

#8-#9-Joe's Petite Provocateur in Wintour Wash, Halogen Girlfriend Cardigan, Trouve Top
I see these definitely need to be hemmed, I am wearing a 3 inch heel here and they are still too long!

I did not see any "boyfriend" cardigans this year, only "girlfriend" one's which are a shorter length. They came in a wide selection of colors.

Cute sweater vest! I remember it from the catalog and you'll have fun with that Equipment blouse too

I'm not sure about the jeans in #2-3, I think the jeans in #4-7 are more flattering, but they don't fill the black skinnies need. That aside, I'm interested in the latest thoughts about some ankle scrunching. With so many skinny cropper pants around, is that the fresher look? I'll watch for our expert opinions.

Great moto and I bet it will turn out to be a workhorse with it style and comfort.

My favorite jeans on you are #8-9. Super flattering, and yes, they do need some hemming. Cute girlfriend sweater, Queen of Blue

I like the vest in #1, LOVE the moto jacket, I like the last jeans best, but you have to go with what you need and what feels best. The girlfriend cardigan is a nice length for you and pretty, I missed that one today.

Love the moto jacket, love the Joe's PP jeans. Keep both! I didn't see those on sale! I am not liking the fit of the other jeans as much, they look like they are pulling a bit somehow. I like the sweater a lot as a basic, and it will go with all your blues!

The jeans in 8-9 are very nice on you - that whole outfit is working. I am not loving the first pairs of jeans.

I have almost the same moto jacket in black wool and wore it to death. It works with everything. I even wore it over a silk tadashi shoji dress with black tights to the ballet.

MNsara-I found black skinnies hard to find last year and again so far this year. They always fit and look like leggings and not jeans. I wonder if a dark wash jeans would work well instead?

Jjsloane-The girlfriend cardigan comes in lots of colors, I certainly recommend them.

Alaskagirl-If you like Joe's I highly recommend you check these out. The whiskering is not crazy, the material is a little on the thicker side (ie they are not the summer weight Joe's). And they are almost $80 off the regular price.

Angie-Thanks! I will keep the Joe's PP and the moto jacket. Do you think the Kut from the Kloth skinnies would be a good replacement for the skinny Hudson's here? I have a striped cardigan in black and white with 3/4 sleeves, is this blue and gray striped too much of a duplicate, should I get a solid color instead? And I will repost a photo of the black Joe's styled soon in a new thread.

That moto jacket is wonderful! I also love the blue cardigan. Such a pretty blue. I think the sweater vest will be a great fall/winter piece styled. I think the blouse you mentioned would look great and is a little bit different for you. I like a little bit of scrunch on the bottom of skinnies, because I feel it balances my hips, but there are different schools of thought, I suppose. I like the other jeans, but am also not such a big fan of the Hudsons because the pocket flap seems too drawing too the eye in this case.

I love the moto and the Joe's jeans - they look terrific on you! And I'm your cardi twin (my one successful purchase - so far!), except I bought it in plum. I'm loving the "girlfriend" length, as the BF's were really too long for me, and it looks really nice on you.

Scarlet-Thanks! I'm going to check out the Kut from the Kloth skinnies and see if they do better than the Hudson's. I agree, I like the Hudson's from the front but was on teh fence for the back with the flap pockets.

Sarah-Cardi twins, *squee!* That's great. I am debating duplicating it in a solid color too. I agree, I also like the new shorter length, I found the BF length a little hard to style. I don't often wear all slim, straight length items to make the BF length work well.
