NAS Purchases Round Five-Homework Assignment

Hi,

No I can't stay away from Nordstrom. I dashed there after work to follow up on some homework from my previous posts.

#1-Trouve Shrunken Blazer
This blazer was mentioned a few times in this post instead of the T Tahari blazer here. I'm leaning towards this one as the keeper. Are these bracelet length sleeves?

#2-#3-Kut from the Kloth Skinnies
The Hudson skinnies from this post got mixed reviews because of the pocket flaps. I forgot about the brand Kut from the Kloth until I saw Sveta's skinnies from her NAS purchases and here they are on me. Are these better than the Hudson's? They are not petite, do they need to be hemmed to tuck with boots?

#4-#6-Joe's High Waist The Skinny Visionaire Jeans
Here are the Joe's jeans again from this post but styled with a blazer as requested. I'm beginning to wonder, are these really leans in disguise despite the "jeans" label?

And once again I am melting in our 90+ F heat in winter clothes.

LOVE that Trouve blazer on you!! (I must try that one on again. . . )

I like these jeans in #1-3 better, I think, but can't check the Hudson pics side by side right now. . .

I still am not fond of these Joes. Yes, I think they are more leans than jeans -- look at the way they hug you right through your entire knee area. The jeans in #1-3 don't do that. . . If you kept these, I'd vote for wearing as you would leans (are leans what you are looking for?)

Exactly what MN Sara said. I replace my vote for the other blazer for this one. Kut Jeans are staples you must have.

Ha, so it is my fault (partially) that you cannot stay away from Nordie's!:-)
I like Kut skinnies much better than the other ones: they do not stretched as tight. I am still heartbroken that they are too short for me because they fit my pear-ish thighs pretty well...
I like the blazer - it was on my list too but my store did not even get them! I wonder if it is going to be too short for me...

I think the blazer is cute but I wonder about the sleeve length. It's sort of an in-between length to me--sort of sleeve no-man's land--though maybe it's technically a bracelet-length sleeve and I should just chill :)? I really like those Kut jeans on you. I think the black ones are too snug or something--they don't do you justice, IMHO.

I vote return the Joes. They are too snug through the knee and calf I think. Not good enough for that dashing derriere.

The first pair of jeans is better than the second but I'm not sure they are a 10. Jeans are ridiculously difficult for some of us but it is worth the effort to get it right.

The blazer is a winner though.

Well, I have nothing new to add - the blazer and the Kut jeans look great on you, but the others look like they're uncomfortably tight around the knees (can you even bend your legs in them?!).

MNsara-Thanks! I think you would look great in the Trouve blazer, I hope you give it another try! Funny I had to go back and retry this one and now it's grown on me.

Jjsloane-Thanks! I have Kut shorts but have never tried their jeans, I think these will be great for tucking with boots in the fall.

Sveta-Thanks again for your post, which motivated me to go back and try these on. I think the Kut jeans will be perfect for fall. Last year, didn't you get the Hinge blazer in a red tweed? I think the Trouve one will fit similar in length to the Hinge from last year.

Angie-Thanks again for recommending the Trouve blazer, the more I look at it, the more it is growing on me. I hope you will do a post about how to style a collarless blazer. The Kut's look like winners I will keep them. The Joe's can't compare, so the search for black jeans will continue.

Dianthus-Thanks! I find fitting bottoms, of any type, skirt, trousers, jeans, are always a challenge for my pear shape.

Sarah-Thanks! I can bend in the Joe's (they are actually super comfortable) but remind and fit me too much like a legging or leans, which is not the wardrobe hole I am trying to fill. Back they go.

I'm wondering what size you got in the Trouve jacket? I tried it on in M, but the overall fit was too big, yet it still felt tight in the upper arms. I shoud have tried S, but gave up too soon. . .

I think it makes the perfect update for the season, and want to make it work!!!!!!

Have you tried it over your dress?

MNsara-I purchased the Trouve jacket in a size small. I have not tried it with the T Tahari dress yet but think they will work together.

oh, the blazer. *faints* KEEP and wear all the time.

I'm going to say I'm not loving either pair of jeans. I'm not a big fan of the stitching on the Kuts and the others are more like leans to me. Sorry. And feel free to ignore me.
