NAS Purchases

Hi all,

Here's some photos of my NAS purchases, plus the Express vest. I'm not sure about the leggings with these - but thought I'd give it a shot! Please excuse the shiny face - i just got out of the shower and didn't put any makeup on.

Julie - I like the dress on its own. The dress with the vest is AMAZING. You look stunning.

I've been hoping you would post a picture of the corduroy blazer - I bought two of them today (purple/brown) and Angie mentioned you bought one as well. (I put up some pictures in my Nordstrom sale angst thread - if you have time look and tell me what you think.) It looks great on you.

I do think you should try that outfit without the leggings, or with longer (stirrup?) leggings. I'm not sure why - maybe because the outfit already has two strong horizontal breaks (at the base of the jacket and at your knees) and so the leggings add one more. I'd like to hear what others think, though.

The beauty is ...you can do both with or without leggings and it looks super cute either way.

It gives an extra look of dimension and fun with leggings, perhaps a little more dressy or polish without:)

Thanks gals - Medusa - I'm not sure about the leggings with the denim skirt either, but just wanted to give it a shot! I put a comment on your sale thread but I think the purple cord blazer is GREAT on you. And Laura - we definitely can be twins - I feel that the dress is so flattering and love the color.

I saw that CK dress today and told my mom "wow that is a cute dress." And here you are wearing it. It looks adorable. love it with leggings.

Taylor's right, both outfits work with or without the leggings; it just depends on the type of outfit you are going for -- dressier or more casual/modern.

LOVE that CK dress on you, especially with the moto vest! You and Laura are both fab in it.

Ooooh, you got the yellow jacket. I did consider that one myself but I picked the turquoise.

I think you did great on your purchases!

Oh JJ, you look FABULOUS! I'm so glad you bought the dress and the blazer, both are stellar and such perfect styles and cuts and colors for you. I like all the combinations including the leggings. Great way of marrying your classic style with your new edge. Yay yay.

Wow you look great. The vest and dress are amazing with the dress being just a touch sweet, and then adding a moto vest. Brilliant!
The yellow jacket is beautiful! Oh I Love, love, love that yellow jacket with the grey skirt! How can anyone not smile when they see you wearing that combo?
Are your leggings called tights? Or leggings? I ask because they seem a bit more sheer than leggings, but it could just be the lighting in the picture.
Great NAS purchases. I see you got your vest at Express. That seems to be very popular amongst YLFers. I love it.

JJ, I think both the dress and the blazer are awesome purchases. And I think the vest would bring the edge to many basic pieces. I love the color and the style of the dress - you wear puff sleeves so well. The color of the blazer is really fun and works so well against the black. And yes, leggings look great with both!

(Which QA shop? There is an awesome fabric store called Nancy's Sewing Basket and there is also Rhinestone Rosie that carries vintage costume jewelry and such).

Awww. You guys are great! I was definitely inspired by Laura with the moto vest look (and San too!). San, the leggings are from Express and I think they are a bit sheer. Angie - I'm not sure about the name of the button shop.
