Okay...I seriously need a hug. My first pass went pretty crappy. Boo!
I focused on shoes, since that is my biggest fit challenge. My goal was to score 2-3 pairs of shoes on sale for the upcoming season, then build outfits "from the ground up." Specifically, I was thinking a boot, a heel, and a pair of flats.
My shoe guy was not his usual perky self, but he had pulled some shoes for me to try. There were only a couple that I remotely liked. Everything else looked rather matronly or too corporate. I really wanted fun/edgy. I totally crapped out. I seriously think that I'm a candidate for foot augmentation. This sucks!!!
Meanwhile, there was a stylist in the shoe dept. shopping for a client. And wouldn't ya know it...she had the very line-up of shoes that I envisioned for myself. She even got an extra pair for herself of these killer motorcycle boots (Vera Wang...something-somethings)!!! WHAAAT?!?! We became instant BFFs and she even tried to get in the act to help my cause, but no luck. I'm soooo bummed. My shoe guy is gonna keep looking for me, and I'm gonna check online to see if some of the styles that got away actually come in narrow, but didn't get sent to the store.
So...I left the shoe dept. with not much else to do, since I was really hoping to score some early deals and get the worst part over with. Next, I headed up to TBD to look for premium denim. I really want a new pair of skinnies for Fall. I tried these really cute WR skinnies in black. I also tried on some COH Avas, which are a straight leg, but weren't part of the sale. I took the Avas home, and agreed to set another appt. with my girl in TBD to look at more clothes since I had no plan and ran out of time (had a personal training session). I'm debating on whether or not to keep the Avas. I could see the WRs being my fall/winter go-to jeans. I'm thinking that I'll go back this week, but I think I need therapy from today's disappointment in shoes.
Okay...I feel better now that I got that out. *wipes nose on sleeve*
