Disclaimer: I'm working from home today so excuse my lack of makeup please!

My friendly UPS guy just stopped by. The dogs didn't even bark at him this time... lol.

Everything Angie said about this coat is correct:
- color is brighter in person
- runs very large
- very well made

I'm wearing the size 16 here and it's roomy and very comfortable. I'm wearing a thin top underneath so no layers.

What do we think? It flares out at the bottom which I'm not sure I like? I'm undecided...

Keep or return or try the Tahari coat Inge ordered?

Angie, thanks! It doesn't feel scratchy on first try. I only wore it for a few minutes because it's insanely hot here today. I'm guessing this one will be warmer than the quilted Tahari that I ordered. I'm going to stalk the wool Tahari that Inge order and try that one too, just in case. I really need a proper wool coat.

I like this on you! But I'd also like to see the Inge coat on you, too. Disclaimer: I have a disappointing history with a similar Pendleton coat. I have last year's version of this coat in red/black. I didn't think it was itchy, either, when I bought it. I have a difficult time wearing wool and thought I'd found a non-itchy wool combination. But it became itchy the longer I wore it. I had to buy a scarf specifically to protect my neck.

Is the Tahari quilted coat you mention the one from NAS? I'm curious about that one and would love to see pics!

Thanks for the feedback regarding the itchy factor... that's disappointing and concerning. For this price point I'd expect better. Definitely something to ponder, so thank you.

The Inge coat is currently not available in my size but I'll keep an eye out. If anyone sees an XL in cobalt pop up, please let me know!

I like this on you, Marianna! Like the flare, too. Trying it on with more wintery clothing--full-length pants, boots, scarf--might give you a better feel for the overall balance, but I think it makes you look very tall & lean.

That tahari is a totally different beast. This coat is more casual. The tahari could be worn with dressy outfits, and also non-dressy outfits. I guess in that sense it is more versatile; BUT, given that our lives are mostly casual, I'm sure you'd get a lot of wear out of this Pendleton one.
