First priority, statement "third piece" and handbag: EF boiled wool vest in black (size down) and Rebecca Minkoff backpack in port (nice leather and workmanship, lacks feet, tends to tip over). I failed to find a hoped-for, unconventional wool jacket and a pair of proper, lined, wool dress trousers across multiple departments and size ranges: oh, well.

Tops: EF rayon tunic and silk tee (not pictured) in cabernet, a Nic&Zoe black/cab/rust print silk/rayon/linen patterned knit (REALLY out on a limb for me); another silk tee in olive (for the EF jeans, pictured).

Add a scarf with olive and black and a trendy necklace, and I'm calling it done.

Stock was low already this morning: when everything comes, I'll edit to add more fit and fabrication details.

What is your strategy on shopping NAS? Do you expect to find statement pieces? Investment pieces? Basics? Essentials? Do you typically have better luck with clothes or accessories on the sale? Is the sale different or the same this year?

ETA: The rise on the EF skinnies was uncharacteristically short: returning the jeans and matching tee. The EF cabernet tunic is a much more muted shade than pictured, perhaps because it's rayon: looks terrible with the precious Minkoff bag (which I do just LOVE!), so I swapped it for the basic black. Spare a thought for my shopping-averse DH: he's off downtown for NAS trousers and blazers right now!
