I find my first NAS order is typically hit-or-miss, while later orders tend to be more successful due to Angie's picks and invaluable forum input. So, we'll see how this first try goes!
1. Rebecca Taylor jacket. The peplum, raw edges, and tweed had me at hello. The fact that it's cotton makes me think it could be a 3 season jacket if not year-round. I wasn't sure of sizing: going by the bust measurement on the chart, I ordered a 6.
2. La Vie Rebecca Taylor pullover. I'm not sure if this will be too boxy or just boxy enough, but it has STRIPES. I love stripes:)
3 & 4: La Canadienne Sicilia boots and Aquatalia Foster boots. My NAS Born booties from several years ago are finally wearing out after walking many miles in them. They were a staple for traveling as well as home so I want to find a good replacement. Both of these look interesting and I'm looking forward to the boot-off.
5: Halogen cuff. This looks like it might be adjustable for smaller wrists so I'm giving it a spin. I can see wearing this regularly and the brown/gold combo is pretty too.
6: Vince Camuto polka dot blouse: Fills a wardrobe hole and the polka dots are fun. VC runs so large that I'm not sure how billowy it will be so this is a wild card.
7. Kate Spade dome bag. I initially wanted this in the Dark Mahogany color, but in person it has a distinct purple tone to it that made me pass. I'm giving it a try in black even though my head is telling me that I need to look for something in another color. The size is great, though. Not too big, not too small, and it has compartments instead of a single cavernous interior.
8. Oroblu microfishnets: Still a staple in my closet and great for transitional spring and fall days.
I'm still biting my lip and considering the Veronica Beard blazer, but it's just a little too far out of my budget's comfort level. I'm really disappointed that this is the second NAS in a row without any offerings from Smythe, and I agree with Angie that the Vince and Theory options are disappointing this year.
Edited to add that DH is always telling me I need more color in my wardrobe. Looking at this parade of finds, he might have a point!
