Ok, so I was going to return these but decided to give them another try. Perhaps your objective eyes will help me decide - I haven’t been too enthused lately about shopping for this body.

Anyhow, the next size up is just too big. These feel great on and the plaid is a nice change from denim. Please excuse the ill fitting turtleneck. I didn’t realize how bad it is until seeing these pictures.

My definite keep is the Halogen cashmere scarf.

They look very nice on you and fit quite well! If I were you, I would keep if they work for your life and climate. I like them with the navy top. Does the charcoal work with your current wardrobe?

Disclosure: I am probably the only person on this forum who didn't like those pants ON ME because I didn't like the fabrication and exposing the outline of my legs. I might have liked the same pants in the Diana cut but that still wouldn't have solved the fabrication.

They look like they fit you well. I vote keep. I have these too and need to try them on a cooler day. Mine seem more black and grey, no navy.

The pants fit very well! The back view is great! Not too tight or too loose from what the pictures show. I would keep!
No comment on sweater fit, sweaters can be finicky if they’re a bit fitted, they can move and bunch. It may just need some adjusting.
The scarf is beautiful, it looks so soft

The pants fit well and look great - what don't you like? Is your ambivalence based on being overly self-critical (something most of us suffer from), or will what you don't like about these keep you from reaching for these pants and feeling fab? I have found YLF's assessment of looks I was unsure of to be very helpful, but sometime I still can't get past a certain poison eye for a style on me, even if people I trust tell me it looks good.

I think they fit well- and actually are particularly good from the back! Depends if you like them - stretch in pants is a really personal thing - I like a bit of stretch but do have some pants where there is too much stretch - they can feel either too clingy or get too saggy.

The scarf is really nice.

I am more concerned by the shoes - have you noticed they are both different to each other LOL.....

I am pretty sure I have the version of these pants from a few years ago-cut may be slightly different- and I do find that they sag a bit during the day. They are happiest with a belt!

I think they look great on you, especially with black shoes. I bought these as well — tried them in two different sizes and kept the smaller of the two, which fit me perhaps a little closer than these do on you (admittedly I was trying to get all the length out of them I could, so I probably stretched them down my leg enough to make the fit snugger!). I am near my peak weight right now and didn’t want to encourage myself to slack any more by getting the roomier pair, and both of them were comfortable in the waistband. I also didn’t want to run the risk of them looking baggy in the seat with wear.

They fit you like they should I'm pretty sure. I love the feel of my mine on the leg. I'm all for having alternatives to jeans all winter. That cashmere scarf is a winner. I ordered mine in a tan color and it washed me out so I returned. That color you ordered is lovely. Hard to try on winter clothing when it's been triple digits here!

I thought about trying these too so I'm glad you did pil! I used to have a similar pair many years ago and I miss those. I think they look like a great fit and the plaid is subtle. The feel is so important to me - if it's not right I just won't reach for the item. So how do they feel to you? Do you like the material and they way they move when you sit, etc.? They would be great for winter I'm sure as Suz mentioned, easy to tuck into boots.

Mine arrived yesterday! First thing I ordered... and they arrive days after the sale is over.. and they were available the whole time... Weird.

I think these look good on you. Taking the time to style them might help you be convinced, if you can bear to.

Mine are a bit snugger than I was hoping, but had come to expect based on comments here. They certainly are "body con" on my legs! But they seem to feel really good (it was too hot to really try them properly) and I can style them in a way that the snugness is hidden, ie with tunics, long sweaters, high boots, which is what I had in mind for them anyway. This is my issue, I'm not suggesting it's yours - just saying that they look good on you, and I believe that any concerns can be easily hidden by styling. They'll make fantastic leggings (if not pants).

Sorry if I made this about me. Not my intent... just hoping my thoughts on my pants might help you with yours.

Sal and Susie, too funny about the shoes! I am pleased to inform you that, yes, I knew they didn’t match
Donna and Joy, they are definitely black/gray but I thought they were neutral enough to wear with several of my sweaters this winter.
Tina, thanks. One reason I grabbed that sweater was so the real fit of the pants was visible. Oy.

Jessikams, a little give during the day ought to be fine but I do have one belt that ought to work if needed.
Janet, thanks. Leg length is never a problem for me! There was a noticeable difference in the lengths between sizes though.
CJ, they are almost like loungewear, right? We’re not triple digit temps here but I was more than ready to change back to summer clothes!
Suz, they will be perfect to tuck into my winter boots.
Texstyle, one nice thing is the waist is a smidge higher than other pants. I’m hoping that helps keep them from sliding down as the day goes on. That is a problem with many of my pants.
ElizabethP, glad yours finally showed up! I have three boyfriend type sweaters that ought to work well at obscuring.
