NAS k/r - coat edition - YouLookFab Forum

1 is a NAS purchase. 2 is another K/R, but not from NAS.

3, 4, and 5 are the coats I already have. I'm definitely keeping the gold puffy. I'll probably keep the grey softshell. I am thinking of purging the pink trench - I didn't wear it all spring and it doesn't feel like 'me' - but am on the fence because I am not sure my all neutral all the time kick will last.

Keep #1? Return? Or exchange for the ivory version when it comes back in stock? It would be my second winter coat, to go along with the puffy. (The grey softshell is significantly lighter weight.)

K/R #2? It is genuinely waterproof. (The pink trench has no hood and in any case can only stand up to the lightest drizzle.) I don't love the fabric. On the other hand, all the genuinely waterproof coats I've seen have this weird crinkly fabric.

I like you in the white (putty?) coats. Hard for me to see the NAS one, but it seems nice.

I really like the color and shape of 2 on you. It's hard to see the details in the picture but it looks great with your coloring. I think 1 looks good but I much prefer the lighter color of 2 on you especially since you already have a dark coat (4.) I think the gold puffer is sporty and fun. Love the pink on you but I can understand how that is quite a statement when you are in neutral mode

All these coats look good on you. I have a bright pink trench that got lots of wear last October for breast cancer awareness month. You may want to wear it then if the weather is right for it. 2 is the best looking North Face I've seen. The white on white logo doesn't look like bird poop.

I prefer 2 over 1 although 1 is hard to see. 1 looks similar to 4- are you duplicating? I also like the pink coat, but you know yourself when something is no longer singing to you.

Okay - I bought #2 myself in navy in the spring. I ended up returning it, but I really did like it (except for the crinkly fabric). I just decided I didn't need it since I actually had a waterproof jacket (not coat) that was not as "crinkly." It got rave reviews on here and I would consider it again for myself if I decided the need was there. Our rainy season for this type of coat is really quite short so it's not a priority.

It gets good reviews. And I like how it looks on you.

I like #1, also, but prefer you (I think) in the lighter colour.

And I LOVE the pink trench!! It looks great on you, but if you don't want it, can I have it? Seriously.

Your coats are very lightweight and sporty. Do you live in mild weather year round? How about a wool coat.

Suz, ha! I read your thread. If I decide to purge the pink trench, I will definitely let you know! I think it would be a bit big on you though.

I live in Virginia, so #1 would be a proper winter coat. As for sporty ... I lead a pretty casual life. And getting #1 would not rule out getting a nice wool coat in the fall.

To start with the last, I do like the pink trench on you but totally understand if it is not you. I like the lighter version of the first coat best and the one in #4 also looks great.

I like 2, 3 and 5 best both for the lighter colors (which are great on you, very flattering) and for the fit.
