NAS K/R - Blondo boots and Valette sweater

Here are the Blondo boots and the very "Angie-bright" coral Valette sweater in size M.

I compared the Blondo boots (size 10) to my size 9.5 Charles David 'Regiment' boots from last year's NAS, and they look to be the same size sole. I think the Blondos might just have a roomier toe box, but I think these are probably the right size for me.

I am committing a slight faux pas in pairing my jeggings with a bum-baring sweater, but I really just wanted to throw on a few NAS items in one photo for expediency.

Is the coral too bright for me? I tried a small as well, and they do fit snug. I thought the small was a tad skinchy through the arms. The medium has a nice relaxed fit, I think, and would allow me to layer a woven top underneath.

What say all of you?

Angie - I always thought jeggings (with the stitched down fly) were to be styled with tunic-length tops? I'm not sure where I picked that up. I would happily pair the pullover with traditional skinnies (if I had any), but didn't realize it was okay to pair with my jeggings. Now that I know, my jeggings will get a lot more wear this winter!

Looks great! May I ask if your calves are curvy? I am jonesing for the Blondo's, haven't made it yet to try them on. I have very muscular ballet calves 16". Just curious.

JulieJohn - Haha - you made me laugh! I probably misspoke (or miswrote) - it's more the fact the jeggings have a faux-fly that bothers me than the rear view. They are a substantial fabrication, unlike some lighter weight denim-like leggings, or just plain old knit leggings, so I don't feel "pants-less," mind you!

I have 13" calves, but I hear the stretchy material is a boon to a lot of different calf sizes. Try them!!!

I guess I should try these with hose if I plan to pair them with skirts.

Will these go with the Halogen pencil skirt?

@JulieJohn - I have very muscular calves (15") and the boots work GREAT for me - they stretch, so give them a try!

I think the top, jeans (well, they just look like skinnies to me!), and boots all look great.

MPJ - I posted them with a Halogen skirt - I most definitely plan to wear them that way.

Both items are fab! And honestly, this entire outfit is fab. These jeans are thick enough that they don't look at all like "leggings as pants". You look great!

I was prepared for the brightness by Angie cautioning me that it was not just a bright coral, it was "Angie-bright" - lol! Even so, I'm not used to wearing such a bright color. I think this will be most welcome on a chilly day. I am also pleased about the sizing - relaxed without looking sloppy. Angie was dead-on with her assessment of fit. The TTS size is snug and the size up is relaxed. Kind of nice to be able to choose which fit you prefer.

christy, Janet, JulieJohn and Angie - I'm so relieved that these jeggings are not "leggings as pants"!!! I've always worn them with my (very small collection of) tunics, but now that I can wear them with shorter tops, my wardrobe possibilities are so much greater!!!

MPJ -- I may have missed an earlier conversation, but may I ask what brand your jeggings are? I have been interested in a pair only if they were fairly substantial, and it sounds like you're happy with these in that regard.
