OK! I placed my order!!
To my tremendous joy, they restocked the Chanel-esque jacket in my size, so I was able to get almost everything! I added two scarves to the order discussed above for a total of eight purchases. The only thing I didn't buy is the purple leather jacket (don't kill me)!! I was starting to have doubts about the ruffles, plus that one item alone was adding nearly $100 to my duty fees. Dropping it from the purchase shaved more than $300 off my total. If I'm determined to get a leather jacket, there is a great store here in Canada (Danier, for those who care) where I'm certain to find something.
So there you have it! Now I'm really, really excited!

Michelle, good for you. I had the same thoughts precisely on the leather jackets about Danier - and they usually have good sales during the year.
Love all your stuff. i got the pencil skirt and love it. Itried on the halogen Chanel-esque jacket and even though i went with Hinge I think Halogen will fit your style perfectly. It is also very lovely in person!
These tax and duties just make me mad I had to pay 13% tax on the border but at least they did not charge the duty.

I love that purple jacket. Is Danier a Toronto only store or Canada wide? I am going to be in Vancouver for 3 days in October, so will have some time to shop.

Michelle, just so you don't regret not getting the purple leather jacket: I tried it on last night (for you! LOL) and while the front was very, very pretty and the color and the leather were divine, the ruffles were...not good. They peeked out a bit on either side of my hips, making me feel like I had a peacock tail instead my dupa! From the back it was even worse, sitting there on top of my flat dupa in the most unflattering way.

If you have a great dupa, it's a great jacket. If that is your least attractive body part, stay far far FAR away. LOL!
