I had a free hour today and stopped in Nordstrom to check out the sale. Nothing much grabbed me in shoes, bags, or accessories. But I did try on a few items that looked interesting in the clothing departments.

1 The faux shearling jacket is warm and looks (I think) pretty cool in an oversized way. Perhaps falls into the JFE category but in a way that I like, as it has definite rocker appeal. I do not agree with the online size advice that says it runs large — this is a jacket meant to be oversized IMHO and unless you have skinny hips, I say it’s TTS. I actually sized up to a L to fit my hips and to allow for winter wear underneath. I bought it so I could try it at home with my own outfits before committing to it. ETA a couple of photos — I didn’t take pics of the other items.

2 Eileen Fisher sweater — I loved the easy fit and color blocking. They only had the orange in store so I ordered the blue.

3 front knot long sleeve tee — I brought home the white and the striped olive ones. Nice basic with a twist for a good price.

4 Mural long glen plaid jacket - I brought this home even though it’s snug on my hips if I button it all the way. This is a lightweight piece that is more of a layering piece than a coat, so I would probably never wear it buttoned anyway. Nice menswear vibe for the price.

5 Puff sleeve sweater - I chose a size that fit me a little more fitted than what is shown in the stock photo, in the black. It’s lightweight, simple, flattering, and the sleeves are just voluminous enough to be interesting and not overwhelming.

All of these came home with me for further evaluation.
