I'm just showing the moto for others, don't think I can justify for myself but it is a S.

Are these Vince jeans ok? They are higher waisted than most which I prefer. They are a sz bigger than my other skinnies that fit loose, which I don't mind right now but if they stretch they could be a problem. See the gaping at back. I don't want anyone seeing down them.

What do you think of cashmere? Neck too open for a cool weather garment?

I like the jeans if they don't stretch out too much. I vote buy and wear them around the house, knowing you can return if they do. I love the cashmere. This neckline is perfect for L.A. IMO, and will lend itself perfectly to a scarf in really cold weather. I would think this is more versatile than a turtleneck for you.

Claire I don't like turtle necks on me anyway, I tolerate crew necks but prefer this aesthetically but when it is cold, you know...I'm not much of a scarf wearer but I could start. I'm going to try a button down with it in store. It is a Halogen. Anyone know how they wear? Are they warm, despite being lightweight?

My fave is that cashmere! I would love that sort of neckline - I hate turtlenecks for their claustrophobic warmth.

Is this the same white leather that Angie said the smallest size was still too big on her? because it looks a little big on you too. unless this is the new oversized moto Angie has mentioned. So I clearly don't know what I'm talking about!

The Vince jeans look great on - I don't see the gaping at the back. Perhaps it's more noticeable IRL? I like Claire's solution - test drive them at home.
Sweater is lovely on you, nice drape - the colour really suits you.

Jeans look fine, get and test at home for the stretch.
Moto looks too big, I don't think it is an oversized style - just runs big.
Nice sweater - which brand is this? I don't like this neckline on me but it looks fine on you.

Moto looks a bit big in the pic, but it is tough to tell for sure. Jeans look fine from what I can tell -- I agree with Claire -- you can always return. Sweater neckline would work for your climate. Cashmere is really warm even though it is light.

I agree, the moto does look big - but not so big that it looks like a mistake. I don't know... is that the style for fall? I really love the jeans and the sweater.

SA found an XS. Still roomy but fits me on shoulder with layers see pic. I wish I didn't try one that fits cos now I want it. I don't need an ivory leather & a sand leather high hip length right?

Sweater is Halogen Sveta. Sara I don't know which one Angie posted about I've been out all day & haven't been able to read YLF. Wish I could, especially NAS comments to help me know what to buy. Angie's & others comments are invaluable.

oh oh - that jacket looks good...hmm pause for another look.
I think it is still a bit big for you Elle. You have at least two layers on underneath, and it still looks loose through the body and maybe the waist.

The white moto is really pretty, but wasn't quite right for me, and it does run big and the sleeves were really long on me. The XS looks SUPER on you, though!

I love the Vince jeans, and didn't want to take them off. The size I tried fit a lot like those do on you, and I decided maybe they were too big, so I ordered the next smaller size. I hope I don't regret not getting the larger size!

The Halogen cashmere sweaters are great! I don't mind the neckline at all for winter- if it gets really cold you can put on a scarf. I ended up ordering two (they didn't have the colors I wanted at my store). No idea how well they'll wear- I hope they don't pill like crazy!

XS with only a tee. I like the roomy fit but I'm mainly posting for online shoppers who may use my sz as a reference but if I don't leave soon I might buy it. I shouldn't though. I do prefer the boxy style right now over my nipped at the waist Michael Kors.

Yeah, I got that jacket in a small (and it still has a little room!) so no way would a small fit you. It is defiinitely cut large. The XS looks pretty good though.

Nice sweater -- I like the neckline and also don't love anything too high on the neck. And the jeans look good. I agree with the advice to wear around the house first.

Oh dear Elle. I cannot tell a lie. The XS looks AH-mazing on you. Why do you do this to me? I try to be practical, but you find the most incredible things and you have SUCH good taste. I live vicariously through you, so of course you must have it.

The XS is great, and so are the other things! I'm others that an open neck can be nice in winter - not too itchy and hot, especially with cashmere, which I find to be very warm.

Do you need it? No. But it looks fantastic on you!! And white and sand are not comparable. I have a taupe leather jacket and a white one. Two different jackets entirely.

Without reading the other posts, I say pass on the jacket, but I like the cashmere and jeans. If the neckline isn't warm enough, pop on your trench!

I'd try a size down in the jeans. The jacket looks good - but IMO you could do better - to me it looks too big through the shoulders - even though I like the roomier style of the torso - I know, I'm not any help at all!

I'm in agreement with those who think the S was too big, but it looks like you found an XS and now just need to decide if it's a love it or leave it.

I really like the jeans on you, Elle, and don't see any gaping at the waist.
