It look a week, but they arrived yesterday. I expect that Nordies is having some supply chain issues, late arrivals extra, and they actually arrived before the date that Nordstrom’s had quoted when i placed the order…and since I won’t be wearing them for awhile, no big deal…
anyway, now for the reviews.
1st up the the definite 100% keeper. The Sam Edelman Lex Boot in ivory. I knew from the moment I opened the box, LOL, that these were keepers. They look and feel soooo much richer than $120 price would suggest. The color is great, and love that they are water resistant. And they fit great, the side zip makes them easy to get on an off.
2nd the Frame boot. They are calling this a Chelsea boot, to me its more of a cowboy style. Also love this boot, but sizing wise, its a smidge big. It’s labeled a 6/36.5…90% of the time i take a US 6, 70%-80% of the time i’m a 36, the other times a 36.5. I have not tried this with a thick wool sock (I just can’t do that now, way to hot) I’ve now ordered the 5.5/36 to compare. This boot is leaning towards keep, as i think either the smaller size or a winter sock will alleviate the fit issue. I was concerned that these boots would be hard to get on and off (i have another pair in a similar style with the higher shaft and they are difficult), but the way the goring is and the length and position of the back strap made these easy to get on and off. Update: the 5.5/36 arrived and these fit perfectly. So I’d say, at least at the smaller sizes these run a smidge big
Finally, the wild card coat. IRL, it looks nice. The brown is a rich deep color, and the hand of the fabric is nice and not plasticy. But its huge! I felt like i was drowning in this coat. The arm length was, to me, disproportionately long. But I’m glad i tried it.
Still hoping the Spanx “leather” joggers come back in stock in my size.
thanks for looking. As always all comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated
