Thank you all for your previous input this NAS season: I decided to let both the windowpane blazer ANS leopard print bag I ordered earlier in the month go because of (respectively) fit issues and wearability. They're both great pieces, so I hope others will get pleasure and use from them!

In the meantime, I've been digging deep on my needs/wants for fall, and ended up with a few other keepers from the sale and a couple of other ancillary pieces.

Forgive the non-styled mirror shots in these photos!

1 + 2: KUT from the Kloth boyfriend jeans and Botkier Calista Oxford: I was intrigued by the cuffed straight-leg look of the EF jeans you've all been trying, but knew the fit and fabric would be tough for me. I don't have any experience with the KUT brand and am not certain how these will hold up, but the fit is great out of the box and I like the look with a blazer. Enter these interesting silver brogues (partially inspired by the greenish ones Roxanna has been wearing this summer -- very comfortable in the larger of my two go-to sizes), and I think I have a winning work-day look.

3: Aquatalia Pasha pumps and Club Monaco trench: I was on the hunt for a new trench to replace my old Club Monaco one, and after some trial and error found this one in the late-season sale (not at Nordstrom). Shown here with the last of my NAS buys: super useful (and work-appropriate) waterproof Aquatalia pumps (in which I took my regular size).

Full disclosure: though I first spotted the Botkier Oxfords at Nordstrom, I ended up purchasing them for less through Bloomingdales.

While we're here, a question: what do we think of the turned-up sleeve on a black blazer? Too stark? Too sloppy? Just right? (This and a penchant for popped collars are about the only two of my sartorial tics that my husband and I regularly disagree about!)
