NAS Dressing Room Try-Ons - YouLookFab Forum

Sharing a few pictures from some items I wanted to try on before ordering. For reference, I'm 5'8" and 150lbs.

1. Halogen Skirt size 6 - Interesting detailing and the fabric felt nice. The cut just wasn't for me and I thought I'd have a hard time finding a top with my short torso.

2. Maggy London dress size 10 - Only size they had in store. I wanted to like this more than I did - it made me feel lumpy! Probably too much waist definition for me, but I've ordered it in my size just to see.

3. Mackage Down Jacket size medium - This is an awesome jacket. It is super puffy, but it feels great on and is incredibly warm. It's more than I want to spend for something I don't need, but if I was looking for a winter coat I would probably order it.

4. Sosken Coat size 2 - I can't decide if I love or hate this jacket. It's an unusual shape, but it feels great on and is definitely high quality. It's not a style I usually wear, but I'm in the market for a lightweight coat, so I might go for it.

5. Soia & Kyo Parka size small - Another lightweight jacket (more so than the Sosken). I liked the thumb holes!

6. Halogen Tweed Jacket size small - My first NAS item to arrive. Brighter in person than it looks online. I have long arms, so I liked that the sleeves are long enough.

I’m probably no help at all as I literally like every picture and think it all looks good on you. I guess I’d consider needs and price to discern, and only pick what YOU feel good in.

I quite like the Maggie London dress on you; it will be interesting to compare in the right size. (I passed on the skirt as well, partly because I wasn't feeling up to finding a top for it.) Both the Sosken and Soia coats are great. I see what you mean my the unusual shape of the Sosken, it's unexpected, but in a good way, to my eye. The Soia & Kyo does fit you very well. Tough choice! Or maybe get both?

Love the Maggie London Dress, though it would be good to see it in your size, too. But if you don;t love it, you won't wear it.

I'll weigh in on the tweed jacket. it is fabulous on you! All the detailing and the cut fit you so well. I don't know enough about the other jackets to comment. I can't tell about their fit in the photos. The dress is very pretty; you might need to elongate the leg with a bit of heel. Is the dress too big? I know it's designed to tuck in at the waist but there looks like a lot of fabric in the skirt part. I wish I could try on items rather than order online. We don't live near Nordstroms and even so, the store nearest us doesn't often carry the size/color I'm interested in. That tweed jacket is a winner, just saying!

I love the tweed jacket on you best of all! It looks amazing! I think the dress is promising also, and really like the Mackage jacket.

I think the Soia & Kyo olive jacket is super-cute for casual days.

I am also partial to the Mackage plaid jacket. I adore this item, but I just didn't think I'd get enough use out of it given the thickness of the down fill and the shortness of it. (Probably you agree, eh?)

Just for comparison, have you tried The North Face Thermoball puffer in the athletic dept. yet? It is super figure-flattering, and there is no obvious branding, I don't think. For emphasis, I repeat: It is super figure-flattering

I was very much considering the sosken, because I just love how it fans out at the bottom. Sort of like a shirt tail. But still I was not sure. I think it needs asymmetry or something. Or maybe the collar is too large? I have a pretty long neck and it was still too long.

My three faves are. The Halogen Tweed, the Sosken quilted jacket, and the Maggy London dress. I don’t love the Soio & Kyo, I think you can find something more flattering. I understand the appeal of the thumb holes, I am a smidge taller than you and I have very long arms, but I don’t think it’s as good a color as the other coats/jackets pictured. The olive looks a bit ashy on my screen and your skin is not as vibrant. There isn’t anything wrong with the Mackage, in fact, I love that it’s water resistant. It would probably be my top choice as long as it has a hood because I need to pick practical coats for the snowy and wet climate here. I just don’t think it’s very interesting style wise compared to the others. It would be a good choice if you want something that will be very classic, long lasting, and practical.
