NAS: De-bombshelled pencil skirt outfit. 3 K/Rs

Here are a few NAS finds that I need to decide whether to keep or return.
I've been trying to put together a couple of casual "going-out" outfits for fall/ winter: I mean to go out to a restaurant, or to some friends' house for dinner, for example, when I don't want to dress up but I'd like to look nice. I'm wanting to look fun, not professional.

Does this outfit work?
And should I keep or return each of the components?
The skirt fits well and is comfortable. I like that it's part ponte knit, so it has a little stretch, and I think I can wear it with lots of things.
The boots are great, and I know I'll wear them with skinny jeans. Do they work with a skirt?
The sweater may not be everybody's cup of tea: it's loose and waist surrendering, and very soft. I'd wear it with jeans mostly, but does it work with the skirt? Is it too unflattering?
I'd like to keep them all, but I'd like your opinions, comments, etc.

Also, adding one other thing: the Betsey Johnson leopard capelet- I think it's so much fun, and plan to keep it.

In general, I like this. I like the side view of the sweater, but I'm not wowed by the front view. But it might be just because it's looking stretched and taut to my eye. Have you tried wearing it a little higher on the hips, to give it a bit of drape? I think that would make a huge difference.

My favourite is the skirt. :o)

And despite my aversion to animal prints, I love your capelet! It looks great on you.

JR, The sweater is loose and just kind of hangs, so it can't be worn higher.
You can see from the side view where it hangs in the back.
Since I have my hands on my hips you can't see how it's loose at the sides.
It's definitely waist-surrendering, which I like, especially since I don't have much of a waist, but I know it's not for everybody.

Parsley, all three are winners and these score gold on wanting to look fun rather than too professional. I loved all of Phoebe's clothes and with you having the same coloring, these work beautifully on you. I so loved that capelet, but it works best on you dark-haired beauties. You did well at NAS.

You look better in that capelet than the model does. You absolutely have to keep that one. It was MADE for you.

Also love the other pieces and I think they strike the right note for what you want them for. I'd try the top with skinny jeans too for an alternative. What about colored jeans, like in red? That could be cool. Maybe slouchy trousers ala Angie? Yes, I think you could style that top all sorts of ways.

And the skirt can go with oh so much... that one is classic yet funky.

You need some funky animal print flats to go with this top and the skirt!

Thanks for the nice comments on my hair. I'm still learning how to style it; It takes a little practice. Tomorrow I'm going to get it trimmed, and I'm going to ask my stylist to layer it just a bit more.

Una, the boots are reasonably trim through the calves. Since I have really big feet boots are often too big through the calves, but these aren't. It's hard to say whether they'd work for you or not, but they'd be worth a try. They might hit higher on your leg and be too big, but you never know.
They're really comfortable for the heel height.

Shiny, great suggestions- I'll have to give those combos a try!
