Yesterday I had an appointment with my favorite shoe salesperson to tackle my NAS footwear options. I had taken some time in the morning to review the online options and knew exactly what holes I was hoping to fill. I did a quick sweep around the floor with him and got down to the business of try-ons. I was wearing jeans which I think helped me stay focused on fall/winter and not some cute sandal or pump that I didn't need. I also remembered to bring 3 different types of socks with me so I would know the exact fits.
I had hoped to find replacement black Aquatalia booties. I have a pair from 2 years ago which I wear to death and with good care I think I can squeak another season out of them. I didn't care for the flat booties offered with the buckles so I didn't even try on. I did try the heeled ones and they were very comfortable but just didn't fit what I needed (but still in my wish list). The gray ones I bought are fantastic and honestly, I'm glad they aren't black. I wear a lot of navy, gray, and black in the fall/winter so this color is very versatile while being a little different. They looked great with my jeans and you can even roll the top down a bit for a different look.
I was also looking to replace some leopard shoes and I was pleasantly surprised by these Cole Hann ones. I tend to like a classic leopard, not too big, wild colorings--these are a good neutral for me. I did end up sizing down half a size for my narrow foot.
Lastly were the AGL flats- these were so good looking! I had a hard time deciding on color (nude vs gray) but ended up with gray (sorry the find is in nude) because I think they will definitely get more use in my wardrobe for the upcoming season.
After finishing shoes I did look around the rest of the sale but honestly I was just kind of overwhelmed by the crowds and not really in the mood for try-ons. So that will be later... On the way out I did buy the cardigan below for to/from barre. It is ridiculously soft but I will need to try it on with my ex cerise clothes to make sure it doesn't look like I'm wearing a blanket or a robe.
I feel less confident about my clothing needs so I will probably take some time reading posts and Angie & member's wisdom before I buy more.
