NAS order cancelled by Fifty One :(

I have to say that I'm not thrilled with Fifty One who process Nordstrom's (among others) international orders.

They couldn't authorise my card (for some reason- all the details were right) and asked for an authorisation number that my bank couldn't give me despite calling twice so they cancelled my order

The universe telling me not to spend so much money perhaps?

I REALLY want the Hinge Cropped Jacket in red and it's sold out now

AAARGH! Megan, I feel your pain. FiftyOne is the incarnation of evil, and I'm really sorry you became one of their victims! Last time I got burned they forgot to tell me than an item was out of stock and I just never received it despite the fact that I got billed. The Nordy's people sorted me out at once, but if I hadn't been vigilent I would have had a problem.

So sorry to hear this! Just a thought ~ is it worth letting people at Nordstrom know about your problem? If they hear enough problems with Fifty One and think they are losing a lot of orders because of them, perhaps Nordstrom will change to a different service.

That's a good suggestion Sparky. I did use the 'Live Chat' feature to ask a rep if the jacket was available in stores in an XS but it's sold out and I didn't mention the issue I had.

Angie, FiftyOne is the name of the evil horrible international shipping company Nordy's and many other U.S.-based retailers have started using. They're the ones I was venting about earlier.

Oh Megan, i feel your pain about the Hinge jacket and will be vigilant about fifty one if I order from Nordies in the future.

I am so sorry Megan-(( Angie and others have said that items will be restocked though, so don't give up yet. We all want you to have the Hinge jacket in red!!

(I had a bad experience with Fifty One through Nordstrom last year as well. The items actually got shipped, and the courier company claimed they had been on my doorstep, twice, I am 100% sure I was home at the time, never saw anybody, so they shipped everything back to Nordstrom and I only heard about it about two months later. Nordstrom did reimburse the money, but it's not encouraging me to order via FiftyOne again...).

Ugg - that really puts me off ordering - especially when you compare it to a company like ASOS that offers express shipping to the US for a fixed rate of $14.
