I think settling on one pair of patterned booties is going to be the hardest part for me. I'm in love with the black and white spotted ones, but I've also been eyeing those leopard spot Sam Edelmans and now to see that they have cousins in python? What's a girl to do? Currently leaning towards the b/w spots but that could change 20 times by July!

I didn't participate last year because I was still relatively new but I'm kind of excited about this - will think on it some more.

I need to take my temperature because although I see several things I like (the orange jacket/plaid pants combo!), I don't see anything I must have or that is making my heart race. Is that good or bad?

I'm just wondering though if I'm getting caught up in other people's excitement and not thinking clearly about whether any of these items would actually work in my wardrobe. Must take deep breath...

I think that teal moto jacket on p. 44 has a bunch of people's names on it. Sveta comes to mind. (I'd love one myself, for that matter....)

Alaskagirl, that just means you're approaching closet nirvana! And I love that the term "nirvana", although colloquially used to mean "bliss", traditionally means "freedom from desires" ... which is exactly what we've got here!

Like many others, I am VERY tempted by the teal leather moto jacket. It would be my entire budget for July, and I'm seriously considering it. I have been looking around for a leather jacket for a bit in the $100 price range, but didn't find anything that I liked, much less loved. I'm not sure about the trendiness of teal-colored leather, though; is it better to limit myself to black? (If I'm going for a neutral, I definitely want black over brown or cognac.)

Also just noticed that the teal jacket only goes down to Small in misses and petites. I hope I'm not sized out.

I'm interested in the python booties, but wonder what they'd actually look like on. I love the plaid skinnies in one of those first pictures, too. I'm also loving the outfit with the blue shirt on pg. 32.

You know, knowing full well I can't buy any of it at all, that was fun window shopping and a great window into next seasons mixes of colours, patterns, silhouettes... even attitudes (I think there's often 2 or 3 dominant 'attitudes' to a season too --- maybe Angie could comment best on that, but the 80s' punk and 90s' waif come strongly to mind, as well as the 80s' careerwoman; I'm pretty certain there are micro-attitudes to the seasons within too).

It's nice to get it early -- plenty of time to get excited and start to cool down before the pre-sale even starts !! Then the reality of how some of these things look on me helps me eliminate even further :-\

That said, I still have my sights set on trying on lots and lots of goodies I hope they manage their pre-sale inventory better this year -- so there are sizes and colors to try on.
