Hi,

One of my NAS items arrived yesterday. It is one of Angie's NAS picks, the
Sam Edelman Zip Front Military Tweed Jacket.

This is a gorgeous piece! It has a heavier weight, a metal zipper, and even the back has a nice detail around the waist.

But for me this is a miss, I just can't tolerate the wool content in it. But here are photos for others, just in case wool doesn't bother you. I took my usual size.

It's terrific-looking. It looks good on you, Lisa, and I think it will really suit your style, Ceit. Is it for indoor or outdoor use, would you say, Lisa? Too bad it is too scratchy for you.

I know what you mean about the wool. I am debating the NAS dotty sweater. It is soft but I am still itchy... perhaps it has to do with trying it on in 100 degree heat!!

Too bad it is scratchy!! That means a definite pass for me. Still, a lovely piece for those with less fussy skin!

Ok, I caved and ordered it. I ordered M, I hope it isn't too big. Wool doesn't generally bother me, so fingers crossed!

Ceit-I hope the jacket works out, it really is a lovely piece!

Suz-This jacket is heavier in weight and I would sport it as outerwear on a cool fall day, but it would not take the place of a heavy winter coat once winter really hits our area. Then I would sport this indoors with a long sleeve t-shirt underneath. I do run on team cold though.

Modgrl-It has been difficult taking photos in winter items, I'm melting in them!

Transcona Shannon-Yeah, I can usually do wool but not when it's the bulk of the material, it has to be a blend for me.

MNsara-The Halogen dot sweater was much softer and less scratchy on me. I think it has some cashmere in it instead of just wool and polyester as the jacket does.

Thistle-Yeah, it really is a lovely jacket!

Ceit-Let us know how the jacket works for you!

Rae-It stinks when an item actually fits and overall works except for the material. On to more fab things!

Good call on returning, in spite of it being amazing on you. I am unable to tolerate wool unless it is a on a very heavy blend with cotton or Lorna Piana. Thanks for the review. I was actually looking at it.
Modgrl & Sarah: Yep, same issue with the dotty sweater here. Sadly, the sweater seems to be itchy for the super sensitive, like me. Mine is likely to go back. I ordered another one in a bigger size to see if can tolerate it when it's not snug at all. If not, they will be returned.

It looks KILLER, Lisa! But I so get the annoying itchy wool factor. It did not come up at all when I fitted this jacket onto clients, so I didn't think of it. Had I popped it on myself, I'd be climbing the walls and would have been able to warn you.

Onto the next fab military jacket!

Shedev-Yes, wool is a funny material. In larger doses it's too itchy for me.

Cciele and Rachylou-I'm sad this one did not work out, but on to more fab things.

Zapotee-It stinks when the fabric is what causes an otherwise "perfect item" to go back.

Angie-I have a few more boxes to come from NAS so onward I go.

Caro-I wish this one worked out, but on to more fab things.

I'm so glad to hear that I wasn't alone on this! I ordered it to, had it on for 30 seconds and back it is going. Too scratchy. And that is saying a lot because I am NOT sensitive to wool at all. I adore it and wear it a lot. I couldn't envision wearing the jacket without a scarf though, it was that scratchy. Such a bummer!

It does look beautiful on you but scratchy factor is a killer - in a bad sense
I considered it too but decided that it is too heavy for indoor wear and my outdoor season for this type of jacket is so short it does not justify it...
I am sad to hear on itchiness of polka dot sweater because I have big plans for mine...:-(

K-It's great to hear I was not the only one who found this jacket too scratchy.

Ornella-Thanks! It's a bit easier to resist items that are not working because this is shaping up to be a very good NAS for me this year.

Sveta-I did not find the polka dot sweater too itchy, but I will layer a very thin long sleeve t under it in winter months (I'm too lazy to wash and wear each time so I layer underneath and just wash the layering piece).
