I am still waiting on 2 things - the EF topper in red and these black suede boots, which aren't part of NAS. These could be just right as they tick a lot of boxes- not 'flat' black, low heel, pointy toe and can be dressed up or down. If these don't work, I am just going to wait until early September for more choices.

I also bought some things earlier in July + 3 pieces at Dillard's on Saturday so I am showing them too. Non-NAS purchases include:

Black vest- I just happened upon this on Saturday and I love it! The long narrow lapel works well and it's a nice length, longish but not overwhelming.

EF asymmetrical dress- this is already one of my favorite dresses ever! It's silk jersey and feels and drapes beautifully. Even though in general EF runs big, I have purchased various sizes in her pieces, usually a M or a PM-PL. I ordered both the M and the S and really could wear either one, but ended up keeping the small as it still had plenty of drape but was a bit better fit under the arms. I think I must have been channeling Deborah with this pick

Vince silk dress- simple, easy, and perfect for our hot summers. After having more pattern and color in my wardrobe for spring than I had in a long time, I am returning to my preference for more solid colors in simple yet interesting shapes. This works perfectly and I can wear this probably through October.

Mesh overlay blouse- I mentioned that I am keeping this rather than the fun "scales" Vince top from NAS as it's more flattering.

Navy slim leg pants (no picture...Trina Turk?)- these are fairly basic but very nice. They are a substantial but not heavy, almost silky feeling knit/ponte and they fit great, slim but not tight.

And the NAS keepers, updated from prior post!

KUT olive jeans- a great fit and a new color that should work well for my wardrobe

Lafayette 148 mixed media top- I love this tunic! Thanks, Angie, for making it a top pick. The fabric is lovely, the quality very nice and it feels so good on. It is simple yet the mix of fabrics adds just enough interest. I liked this as well with light jeans and sandals for late summer as I did with dressier pants for the office.

Fringe collar necklace- this was part of my first order and I wore it the day after it came! Something different that is fun to wear. I bought a 2nd one for my daughter and she loves it too.

Classiques Entier flare leg trousers- these are a great addition to my wardrobe! Very nice fabric with a perfect fit in the petite including the length, with just the right size flare.

Halogen leather jackets- I am keeping the collarless one, to wear as an inside topper for work. It fits well and the leather is very soft. The pieced leather one (an Angie pick) also fits well so I am thinking about keeping it too to wear as a lightweight jacket, more casually.

What do you think about keeping both? Are they too similar?

Finally, Halogen ribbed cashmere poncho (in black, not navy)- this is the perfect weight topper for fall and early winter. It replaces one that was lighter and a bit more 'fussy.' This is more throw on and go and easy on and off. And though I tend to run warm, my office can be cold in winter so the poncho is nice to keep on my chair to cover my shoulders or lap. I also considered the cashmere wrap in burgundy that Angie picked, but the sleeves in the poncho make it more practical.

The one thing I changed my mind on is this gray Lafayette sweater. Initially it was a keeper as I love the graphic design and the colors. But I am being picky and I realized that it isn't a 10 for me. It has a straight hem (prefer more asymmetrical). And while the quality is nice and the fabric is cotton, it's not as soft as I would like. So it went back.

Phew, that was hard work! Thanks for looking and I welcome your comments!
