Soon, it will be that time of year again. My favourite sale of the year

Preselections for the sale start on July 11 for level #4 cardholders. Early access for all levels are from July 12 to 18. The sale is open to the public from July 20 yo August 5.

I will be working long hours with my clientele during preselections and sharing info about items along the way. If you have questions about items - ask them. I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Please keep ALL NAS posts in the NAS category on the forum so that it doesn't overwhelm the rest of our readership and distract those who do not want to participate in the sale. You have the option of hiding the NAS section too.

Exciting! I have to remember that my professional wardrobe is in its best shape ever. That’s usually the category that catches my eye at NAS, and it’s usually an area that needs work, but not this year after finding all my interview clothes.

I’m excited. I will need to rebuild my fall wardrobe. I am especially looking for toppers and fall dresses as my starting point. Perhaps also tall boots. I’ll probably wait until September or October for pants since my body is still changing from exercise.

How do I get the catalogue mailed to me ? I have the credit card but never receive the catalogue. Do you need to have spent a certain amount throughout the year ?

On my list:

Waterproof booties with a low heel (Aquatalia?) Also (maybe) a short chelsea/ moto boot.

Waterproof mac. (Might come from Boden in the end).

A casual fall/ winter day dress and/or skirt.

Updated denim. Always.

A navy bag. Or metallic. Or gunmetal grey.

Basics. (Knickers and bras, no-show socks.)

Two wild cards.

I haven't yet purchased a summer wild card (and not for want of trying). My purchases have all been sensible and in the category of "highly useful and basically familiar item." Crossing fingers that fall will help me evolve my style a bit more.

Suz, nice list. I think wild cards find you, and happen organically or by accident. You embrace the item and take it as a sign that it was meant to be. Your Summer fit and flare frock was a semi wild card.

I'm not a NAS shopper -- yet -- but might look at boots. I want a pair of short low-heeled boots in a fun, dark neutral (ink/navy, please?!). I might also consider a pair of tall flat boots in toffee or chocolate (I'm liking the idea of a toffee/light blue palette, Angie!). It's a tricky time of year for me to shop since I'm almost always traveling in July and August. Makes timing orders/returns a little more complicated.

Ha! It's Christmas in July!

Shoes are my list again this year. Walk-the-dog comfortable and stylish. Those velvet Munros from last year were real workhorses this past year, as were the Mephesto oxfords.

Hoping to find another couple of pairs that work that hard!

Angie, you're right about wild cards. Sometimes they don't show up early in the season. I tend to focus on essentials and basics for NAS (at least at first) but most years I've picked up something unexpected, too. The fit and flare Boden dress is still a "maybe" -- taking it to the seamstress tomorrow. But you're right -- it's a semi-wildcard -- fit and flare style, V neck, strongly retro vibe.

I like this idea of thinking in terms of complements and maybe adding new colours. Loving toffee and light blue for you with cream/ white and maybe chocolate (if it appears).

I also would like BELTS this year. Not necessarily from NAS.

And I need to think in terms of my new climate...what will work there.

Suz, I'm in for some belts, too, as compliment-completers. I want to finish off my burgundy compliment for sure as I plan to wear the heck out of that in 2018 and then move on.

I love the sounds of your toffee, blue and cream palette, Angie! I can still get mileage from the burgundy and olive items I purchased in the fall 2017 season, so I'm going to maintain that. I'll look to add lavender and navy items from NAS. Over the next year, I'm going to focus on phasing out gray and bringing in cool browns, which will go well with the bazillion blue items I already own, as well as any new lavender items I purchase.

I love the idea of toffee and light blue + browns and creams for you, Angie! I'm also still very open to adding cool-toned browns to my wardrobe. Gorgeous with light blues, mint, cream, and lilac and lavender (which I'm VERY excited about seeing in the catalogue!-)

I think I will be sitting out NAS this time (budgetting for other expenses) unless I see a Winter raincoat that I really love (will need one to walk a doggy that is coming into my life soon/for puppy training sessions;-), but it's going to be very hard!-)

Also just saw two pairs of slate grey Hunter rainboots that might be perfect for that purpose too, but ordering shoes internationally is tricky for me now. Will see if I can find them here.

I love the checks/ glen plaids and the lavender/ lilac! It looks like I will get lots of opportunities to wear my fab glen plaid culottes this year with new tops -- I'm excited. It will be their third year and they will probably get more wear in the upcoming season than they've ever had before.

(This is partly due to change in climate.)

It also looks like there are some GREAT weather proof Aquatalias and Blondos. Phew!

I am intrigued by your toffee and light blue color palette. I am curios what exactly is toffee color, when I type it in google I get so many different colors, and some look like camel or cognac or brown, even rust. But you must have some specific shade in mind?
