Gryffin, I'm in a very similar place.
I went nuts with NAS years back (before YLF added Finds so it's not really possible to track what all I tried and bought here). It was very hit or miss in terms of what ended up working for me, but it was also a time when I was experimenting a lot with style.
The last couple years I dialed it way back at NAS. Last year I got the Pendleton coat, a sweater, and a necklace. I later bought some leggings which still have tags on and I should probably return them but I have one outfit idea in mind for them, maybe incorporating them with a too-short dress for winter, so I've waffled on those for nearly a year.
This year I have an eye on a floral Ted Baker bag, some chunky narrow-toed black booties, and a very nice roomy black leather moto -- all things that would fit solidly into my style and would get worn. Not needs, really. Although the black booties would be a good upgrade as my current black booties are all getting beat up with wear.
With the impending bathroom renovation and my recent new car purchase, I'm not in a big fashion splurging mood, but I'll enjoy a few carefully-chosen additions if things work out. But I don't feel any pressure this year, which is nice.
