NAS - Zella 'Z Quilt' Moto Jacket

Well, on lunch break, I popped over to the nearby Nordstrom like a bad girl. Went to see if I could have a look at the Anyi Lu Melanie’ Bootie. I was thinking maybe they were too delicate for me; I like clunky shoes. Also wanted to see the Classiques Entier® 'Panthere' Cardigan. This Nordstrom has a different clientele than my normal distant one, and struck out on both.

But I saw the Zella jacket, which I originally thought *No* to because it was short. Turned out to be long enough for me. I really liked it. I liked that it was snug (feels warmer that way and I'm always freezing). From the front, it looks as it does on the model; from the back, it's also snug, unlike the model.

I hope people don't think I look like stuffed sausage, but I don't think I want a medium. All my clothes seem to grow on me.

I'll have to take a snap when I get home (it's in the car).

I'm thinking of trekking out to my Nordstrom and looking for a medium. I like the way this feels, but it *is* fitted.

Oh! Can't wait to see, I love a biker jacket!!! And don't worry about looking like a stuffed sausage: you won't. Leather definitely does stretch as it softens and ages!

The medium fit me and looked good. But I'm still thinking about it. I have fleece and Arc'ty'rex (however you spell that fancy pants gear).

It's a fantastic jacket. I was shocked by how cleverly it camouflaged or accented curves, as required.

That's the jacket, Frenchie (!) (Can I call you that? Reminds me of the character in the musical *Grease.* Frenchie was the sweet one ;D )

The jacket really has clever seams, and even tho its snug, it doesn't cut and bulge - it skims a body.

I'm a big fan of this jacket. At first I thought, "I do not need another jacket" but I tried it on and fell in love. For me, it's a nice casual alternative to leather or denim, and I found it very flattering. When I tried it on in the store, at least three people asked about it and wanted to try it too!

Pics will have to wait until I'm feeling better. Laying low with some kind of flu right now.

I missed this! I love it. I think it can work as gear or a casual jacket.

(I thought you were talking about the $499 leather jacket from Veda Max, even though Zella and Veda Max aren't the same at all, are they?)

What do you plan to wear underneath it? It looks like it would fit well over a tank or thin t-shirt. However, I don't know if that size would fit over anything with long sleeves.

I see a similar problem on mine - the sleeves are tight and I'd be worried about bunching over anything too thick.

What a fun jacket. It does look a little snug, especially in the shoulders, to me. Also, IIRC, there are thumb holes on the sleeves, right? Are they usable with your current sleeve length? How does the jacket feel? Whew, so many questions.

Bunched up sleeves do make for some lumpiness, but I don't feel it. The sleeves are the right length, thumb holes land right where they need to... whereas they probably won't with the medium.

The one thing about this size is that it's very comfortable to wear - warm. I tried on a large just for the heck of it and without the close fit, it's not warm for me. I am ALWAYS freezing. I won't be using this as a workout jacket, even tho that's what it's made for, so I'm not worried about overheating...

I think I *will* hunt down a medium.

I bought a medium, but I'm a size 10 on top. I plan to wear it on an evening sail in August.

Fab jacket! I like it in this size, since I feel like this style should fit like a glove. So as long as it's comfy...I vote keep this size.

Oh, must have posted at the same time as you, Angie! If you think it's ok, then I will keep it. And if Anna says she's a size 10 on top and got a medium, that's more reason for me to think small is my size. I'm not so endowed (haha!).
