Hello lovely ladies! I know...it's been ages since I've posted...seems like NAS brings me back to YLF at least once a year.

Yesterday was a marathon NAS session. Several hours shopping with Angie and then another two hours or so shopping on my own for my husband and kiddo. NAS is a MAJOR wardrobe refresh for me each year (I don't do much shopping throughout the rest of the year), so it's always fun but a bit exhausting. One of the benefits of living in Seattle and the mild weather is that I'm almost always able to pick up at least a piece or two that I can put into rotation right away. This year's haul in that regard is even better than usual. Just offhand I can think of at least 6 if not 7 pieces that I can wear right away (thanks to Angie keeping me focused on needs vs. wants!). I'm firmly in the camp of Team Wear whenever possible, so I thought I'd show which two casual items have already had the tags ripped off and put to work.

#1 for a Saturday evening out on the deck with neighbors, drinking wine and chatting. Kut distressed straight leg ankle jeans from NAS with my Eileen Fisher sport platform sandals (bought earlier this year) and a black sleeveless top (also Nordstrom, but couldn't find it online). The first comment from my husband was "I think those jeans have a defect. Are you sure you don't want to take them back?". He thinks he's hilarious...
#2 for a Sunday spent kicking around the house. Caslon denim shirt in grey with my Cole Haan wingtips from last year's NAS (or maybe the year before?) and Old Navy white shorts. Luckily I got the photo before deciding that today would be a good day to finally get around to buying and planting flowers and plants for the pots in my garden. White shorts and gardening...not the best combo (at least not for me!).

Happy NAS-ing!
