NAS - silly question

Hi Ladies,

I am not a NAS expert but have a silly question. I do not have a Nordy card and so I must wait until the sale is open to the public. I had an unfortunate bike accident and ended up in the hospital for 6 days and am recovering from head trauma. I think I missed the sale. I was so wanting to get the Sam Edelman boots Angie shared but not at full price. Is there any chance the sale may come back? or they might reduce the prices of some of the Anniversary items? Currently they are full price and not on sale. I am heartbroken ;-(

In years past some but not all NAS items have been reduced later in the season and often below the NAS price. In the meantime I would search for those SE boots on other web sites.

But good grief! Your health is more important than any pair of boots. I hope you are well on the way to making a full recovery.

Re the pricing, my experience is that footwear tends to get markdown slower than apparel, but that it does get marked at the end of season. You can add the boots to a Nordy’s wish list and set it to notify you when the items goes on sale. I would also take DonnaF’s suggestion and search for the item on other sites, try starting with a simple goggle search.

Whoa, that is terrible about your accident! I hope you are recovering well. The items you want might reappear at reduced prices again later in the season.

OMG, I’m glad you are recovering! How scary!

They do sometimes have even better price reductions on some items later, in September or later. Some items show up at the Rack in a few months. So I would keep a search active so you can stalk the item you’re interested in. I ended up finding this sweater for an incredible price — I hadn’t even tried it during NAS (I bought almost nothing at last year’s sale) but remembered it when I saw it at the Rack. So it’s worth keeping an eye out.

I have high hopes that many items did not get delivered to stores unlike after the sale. As others have said keep watching for sales, maybe even Labor Day or something for Black Friday.

Oh, dear. How traumatic, on top of the physical injuries. I hope you continue to heal well and completely.

I echo what others have said; the Shopstyle alert in particular will tell you if the boots go on sale on just about any online retail site.

I haven't returned my pair of Cream Sam Edelman boots, size 6.5. I could sell them to you if you are interested and happen to want that size and color.

You've heard this already but yes, some items go directly from NAS to other discounted sites (Rack, Gilt, etc.) so it's definitely worth a little Googling.

P.S. A site called Modesens will even compare prices for you.

Thank you ladies for the input, suggestions and we'll wishes. I will continue to stalk them and if it's meant to be then so be it. Those boots are a sort of therapy for me also as I have had zero interest in anything lately. Trying to be humble and patient as my body and brain heal. And have been staying off screens a lot - hence the delayed reply

FYI I just by chance decided to look at the boots - just for visual therapy - and to my shock and surprise the ivory was back in stock and only 1 left in my size! They are on their way and fingers crossed they work as well as I think they might for me ;-). It kinda feels like the holidays, hahahaha
