NAS - leather moto

(I meant to put this in the NAS category )

My biggest wish for NAS is a leather moto jacket. Probably black although I would consider ink. I need to work today, NOT shop NAS so I'm trying to be good buy I did a quick search for petite leather jackets and these went on my wish list for future consideration. Maybe I should just order them to ship to my local store.

LOVE the Via Spiga one. The others aren't truly motos , are they? I am having a minor panic these days with the realization that my go-to leather resource (Danier) isn't in business anymore. I willfully ignored it when it happened in the spring, but now, where am I going to buy an affordable leather jacket????

I've never been in a Danier but I had always planned to visit one when ever I made the trek across the border. Now that will probably never happen. ((sniff, sniff)).
You're probably right that the others aren't true motos but I'm open. I really just want a classic style. Although if I had to pick one right now I'd go with the Via Spiga.

I actually quite like the first jacket - but that's just my own style wants because I like the higher neckline option. The sort of "drape" front effect of the standard moto just doesn't work for me as well.

I really like the look of the MK ones too. My only worry is the high collar will rub my hair and tie it in knots.

I really want outdoor weight (which will be indoor wear for me because I'm always cold). Is there a way to tell by the description if a jacket is indoor weight? Do they usually say? I want to avoid those I think.

love them all! the MK is my fav, but I'm concerned that the fitted body may make it tight over sweaters....which is what i hate about online shopping.....its so hard to get to the small important detals....because on the other hand, the leather Bernardo looks like it could be sort of short.

Have not read the others comments.
I like the first one (popped collar) and the one with the ribbing along the bottom. I wonder whether thr ribbing would pill.
Leather jacket shopping is so fun. Dont compromise!

Ooh, they are all fab! I really like the look of the first two and particularly the fitted shape of the MK one.

My favorite is the Via Spiga one due to the classic style. It looks perfect to me.

Hmm. It's hard for me to tell without seeing them on you. I like the look of 2, but can't decide if I would be over the suede and leather combo at some point. I think with a leather jacket, it all comes down to fit.

Be very careful about the silhouette as this will determine if it flatters you. #2 will create an hourglass shape and define your waist if that's what you're after. #3 will close off your neck and might make you appear wider as it makes a triangle shape when open. I have both these silhouettes and it depends on your shadow and what you want it to emphasize.

Order them in to try...only way to know is to see them on and feel them.

Sometimes you can tell about the leather from a closeup. Most fall leather jackets are outdoor weight but you don't want a stiff one if you're wearing inside.

The first is my favorite but may be the hardest to layer under. the second looks most like a traditional moto jacket. The third is the most sleek but also looks like the shortest...which could be desirable or not. I like your idea of getting the store to bring in all three for you to try. While you are at it, you might want to try each in petite and regular sizes.

I like the VS the best. I think the first one would look good on a longer neck. I'm not crazy about the tab thing on the third one. Hope you find one you like this year!

I think trying them on would make a difference. The first one (MK) appeals to me but it may look completely different on someone else.

Yup, gotta try 'em on. Two years ago at NAS I bought a leather jacket with those stretchy panels down the sleeves. They make the jacket comfy, especially because I have fat arms, but darned if I don't feel the cold under those panels!

Btw, I think they may have more leather jackets as the season progresses.
