Since I'm back home and had some NAS delivery items waiting for me, I thought I'd post my most recent thoughts on what will most likely join my closet and what won't.

Possible keeper:
- the Paul Green pointy-toe loafers. These seem pretty comfortable on first try. They suit my low-volume, slightly narrow feel quite well, but have a bit of a chunky, edgy appearance, which I think could be a fun variation from either boots/booties or slim loafers or oxfords, to wear with skinnies, straights or even boyfriend jeans. I'll need to try styling and wearing around the house first to be sure, but it looks promising.

Likely keepers:
- the Topshop chevron sweater, once I got the right size. Pleasantly roomy, slightly cropped length. Casual and a good price point.
- the BP stripe top. I sized up for ease, and again, it's pleasantly roomy and a great price for a casual top.
- Vince colorblock blouse. Love this! Easy and a little sporty but a little dressy. Right up my alley.

What I'm returning:
-Joie slip-on sneakers. I love the idea of these, but the vamp is too high and stiff, so not the most comfortable thing on me.
- the NYDJ dress. Such a bummer, because it fits well and looks really nice on, but the stupid "slimming panel" or whatever it is underneath is a deal-breaker for me. Just too hot and uncomfortable, and it doesn't look like it would be simple to remove it.

What I'm on the fence about:
- the Mackage coat. Maybe I need to try styling it more, but I'm just not sure about it. It's such an in-between piece, I'm not sure whether it's great for my needs. I already have the black wool Trina Turk military coat (great all-purpose cold weather coat) as outerwear, and the BCBG long jacket which works as my ideal outfit completer piece. This jacket falls somewhere in between. It's not lined, it's not truly a cold winter coat, but that's not necessarily a bad thing because our winters are not the bitter, brutal winters that many of you in more northern climes have. And it's too heavy to be an outfit-completer -- it's more an outerwear thing. I'm going to try styling it and show it to hubs to see what he thinks, whether it's worth the $$ to add it to my closet.

Right now I'm battling a rotten head cold, so I don't quite have the energy to take pics and post them, but I'll try to do that if I get a chance in the next few days.
