PSA pre- NAS - Life has a way of changing your well thought out NAS priorities! Tuesday night we had 2.5 hr of brown outs/power outages every 6 minutes. As much as we have a full house back up generator but the outages lasted less than 1 second so it never had time to kick in. Outcome - the constant voltage surges fried my upstairs a/c (we are having 100 deg heat wave) and my subzero freezer (which was packed and the contents were a total loss). Despite having done a major renovation and having many home upgrades no one ever mentioned or asked me if I wanted a "whole house surge protector." They can put a surge protector on each of your electrical panels (the equipment is just over $100 or so per board not including your electrician's mark up and labor costs). So due to the tragic weather, disaster situations we've all been reading about I wanted to put this out there. You can, for a very reasonable fee, protect all your appliances and save yourself from major repairs. I hope this helps someone because I would absolutely have had this done if I had know it was available. A/C is now repaired, freezer needs a part coming next week and hoping the condenser survived because that's a huge repair. So I kind of lost my mojo for NAS.
So ofc, last night at midnight was my start of NAS. I bought the Nordstrom white dress shirts (8) for DH as he wears them to work. They have doubled in price since I started purchasing years ago. Still spendy at the sale price but well work it. I bought the PG balboa moto boots (I have the bobbi moto boots from a previous NAS which I adore. Down to $1/wear) the Balboa have a higher heel (thank you Angie for measuring the platform). I'm hoping it's not too high but they would be a probable workhorses. I also bought the barefoot dreams cozychic rib throw to replace a beloved and a back up on Uggs whitecap fleece throw in denim. I run cold so very practical. I think I'm done. Waiting to see the total damage from the a/c/freezer/surge protector debacle. But I'm really wishing everyone good luck and excited to see your pieces. Hope you enjoy. Tapping into everyone's happy!! Wishing everyone cool, frozen, safe weekends and lots of fun at the sale!!
