Naot Allure boots: anyone have these?

These are on sale at 6 pm today. Does anyone around here have them? I'm wondering how much give there is in the elastic at the top of the calf... it looks from the photo that there's a pretty big elastic panel, so I'm hoping they will fit over my 15.5" calves, but I'd be more comfortable if someone could confirm this for me (preferably on a size 39 or thereabouts).

Also, what do we think of the grey patent? I would actually prefer black matte leather (because I would be buying them to replace my tall black boots that are pretty much dead by now) but the grey is nice too. I'm just wondering if it's too shiny. Is it neutral enough to replace the black boots?

I am not loving the gray patent. It makes them look kind of like rain boots. Sorry!

I have matte gray leather boots and they function as a neutral for me. It is a more casual kind of relaxed look compared to tall black boots.

Diana, I noticed that the description suggests that you should size down because they run large while the customer survey at the side says they run small and narrow. Very confusing. Are you on Team Dressy or Team Casual? These tend to look more dressy because of the shine.

@modgirl: yeah, I was a little worried about the rain boot look... but then again I used to HAVE shiny grey rainboots and I actually really liked the look even when it wasn't raining! I do think that if I get these, I'm still going to have to get some plain black boots too.

@Joy: Naot sizing is very weird, but I am pretty reliably a 39 in them but a 38 in most other euro sized shoes so I'd probably stick with my normal 39. I have small, narrow, flat feet and their shoes tend to fit me very comfortably. With Naot shoes, I don't tend to need to put in any inserts (the cork sole is AMAZING on Naots) so even if they do run small it would probably be OK...

I am leaning towards getting them... I just hate 6pm's return method (no prepaid labels.)
