I can't get that blouse out of my mind (even though DH said "won't you look like a pirate?" - I don't think so - I tried it on and it looked great!!). So I am on Nordstrom's and it is my shopping bag - in the pearl color. Not avail for shipment until 8/27, but I can be patient.

I really like NL - for one thing, it fits me well. Otherwise, I'm not sure what this says about my style.... that I have a girly romantic side?

Anyway, I'm poking around on Nordie's site and debating about a few other items. It's kind of a pain for me to get to Nordie's in person (and just not going to happen in the next few weeks). So let me know your thoughts, please:

1) Nanette Lapore jacket that's on sale: http://tinyurl.com/63xj8z

Has anyone seen this in person? Will it work for fall? Something about it really appeals to me. I like the black. I would primarily wear with jeans for smart casual look.

2) Or this NL jacket instead: http://tinyurl.com/69qebk

Same questions/comments as above.

3) This Semantiks jacket, which is being promoted off the home page:

Pluses: it is available in petite! And I love tweed!! And I love how it looks with jeans.

Negative: the neckline isn't as interesting/versatile to me as the portrait collars in 1 and 2. But that's okay... it's just a different look. But will it make me look like I have no waist?

I really love this jacket: http://tinyurl.com/5ktjgt ... but I don't find short-sleeve jackets as versatile in fall/winter, and the price is high. If I could find something similar to this at H&M or similar, I would probably snap it up.

So far I have the NL blouse and #3 jacket in my shopping bag. But what do you think about #1 and #2?

(Or maybe I've answered my own question ... hee hee)

Incidentally, my new Mango coat is kinda-sorta-similar to this coat, except not as full in the skirt and a bit shorter, and in cream.... and a LOT cheaper:
