Now the weather is beginning to look like spring a bit( in the Netherlands that is), it's time for peeptoe's. I love peeptoe's. But many women begin to stress out, my nails, my feet! Have to get them done. Ialways am stunned that my girlfriends dont take care of their feet in the winter. Why is that? I Always have them polished and lacquered. How about you, are you stressing out when it's getting time to show your feet. I'll show you what is currently on my nails!

Your polish is really cute. I take care of my feet in winter by keeping them well moisturized, but I don't polish. When it's time to show my toes, I just paint the nails. No stress.

Year-round pedi person here! Especially in winter when the heated foot bath soothes my whole being!

I don't worry too much about my feet in the winter - I occasionally moisturize and sometimes paint them. I don't worry if they're not painted in the spring either. I have nice feet even with unpainted toes. I don't usually get pedicures (although they're a nice treat when I have time), I just put a couple coats of polish on while I watch TV. No biggie.

No stressing out here ! Mine are always pedicured - 12 months a year. I might take a polish break here and there in the winter, but can't afford to not keep up with maintenance. Once you let it go......

Plus who doesn't want attractive feet? I've never understood the letting it go philosophy.

I give my toenails a break from polish in the winter unless I am going on a beach vacation -- on our first day in Mexico in January, I booked a pedi and mani at the spa (the pic is not very good, but shows my deep turquoise toes ;-)). I only get maybe 3-4 professional pedis a year, but I paint my nails myself in between in sandal months. I usually wait until I've finished a big event or accomplishment (half marathon, bike tour, etc) to treat myself with a pedi and maybe a massage, so I like keeping it infrequent so it feels special.

OK, I'm one of those people who doesn't do much over the winter other than moisturize. It's so easy to procrastinate! I don't get my nails done at a salon, so I have to find the time to do it myself. I am always very happy once I have it done, however. And I like how pedis seem to last for a pretty long time, unlike manis.

Nope. I agree with you. I take care of my feet throughout the winter months. I do it just because.

yep, every 3 -5 weeks...i am for every 4 wks...lol. just had a pedi today got the OPI give me a lido kiss....

I have feet that look a bit like a child's, so it just seems natural to leave them alone in the winter. No one is going to see them. But as I start to think about wearing sandals, I do get rather stressed. It was just last year that a friend introduced me to a pedicure, and I must say I'm now a fan... Wish I could get one more often!

I get a pedicure every four weeks, year round. It's a treat, plus when I wear sandals in summer it looks nice. I like the woman who does my nails, the salon has great music, lots of People mags and such, plus a big bowl of chocolate candy. I look forward to it.

I don't do professional pedis in the winter but I do make sure I'm using cuticle remover and keeping up with the calluses throughout those months so I don't fall too far behind. I purchased a micro plane rasp and it sped up the process considerably.

Another who takes the time for maintanence all year long. A pedicure every few weeks in the warmer months and monthly when it is not. Plus a manicure every week with reapplication of nail polish as soon as chips appear on my nails. I'd never let myself go with any of my grooming as it completes a polished look as far as I'm concerned.

My routine is like Janet's: I get a pedi for an annual warm weather vacation in March then keep my nails painted until October. I take a polish break October to March. Since I have fussy feet and work them hard, I'm meticulous about care: Epsom soaks, nails trimmed short, lots of pumice work, special foot creams. I get a pro pedi 2-4 times a year as a special treat - usually after a big race.
