YES Angie! Your lessons are sinking in!

Lesley, too right. I am especially over it when it comes to rises that are too low. I don’t mean a waistband that is too low (though that bugs me too), but rather that crotch seam that digs in when you sit down. Ugh, no thank you! I need some space there….but not too much space or the seam will start to chafe after walking. Harem pants are tricky for that reason.

Well I can't tell you how much I love these! This is exactly the feeling I aim for as well and also the look - interesting and creative but comfortable and at ease! Everything looks just right on you, hair and makeup included!

You look great in both outfits! Nodding my head to the first one in particular though - my brown satin cargo pants were originally a wildcard, but I now love them for many of the same reasons that you listed (I find an elasticated waistband more versatile than a drawstring one, & agree that 'jogger' cuffs are more flattering). So much so, I just bought a pair of bronze satin cargo pants too! No tugging required to be dressy

I like how you paired your pants with sequins but dressed it down with sporty sandals - I can imagine them working well with other textures too, like velvet & chiffon.

'Funky but comfy' shoes seem to be a prerequisite for interestingly versatile looks - seems you've got that sorted too. Almost makes me want to go shoe shopping in TW!

Zaeobi I can highly recommend shoe shopping in Taiwan! Unfortunate for my wallet….

oh, I do like those gold Tibi joggers. I have half a notion that I'd like a pair in silver, and your fab outfit fuels that itch.

Truly, though, both outfits are truly fabulou -- and I think you're right that adding the scarf and leather bag to the shiny outfit tone it right down in the most perfect way.

Carol the joggers are awesome and have such good details. The pockets are nice and deep and yet don’t add bill. There are zippers at the ankles so you can get a different silhouette if desired. Recommend! (If you can find some on sale—- so expensive at full price)

Wow, YLF! Your individual pieces are always so different to the norm and you combine them no fuss but still, they project creativeness and have artsy/edgy features which suits your persona so well. Hairstyle is also great and is adding charm to your signature style, too!

*coming to Taiwan to shop*

Haha @Angie you & me both - usually when I go it's for the food, but next time I'll have to add shoe shops to my itinerary too!

You know, even if I'd never pick the items you're wearing for myself, you look deeply like yourself in both of these outfits! Your confidence and comfort with yourself shines through :-).

Ellemnop what a beautiful compliment! Thank you!

The first outfit is fun and fabulous, perfect for an evening out. What's more, it looks comfortable. I love those shoes!
