Nail color in winter - on vacation??

i am goingon vacation to sunny florida and i am getting a mani/pedi today. what color nail polish do i select??

i am currently using lincoln park after dark by OPI on my nails. do i continue using this in florida and for my toes? do i do something else. i will be back in the cold weather for another week or so before i change my color so i don't want to do anything to tropical.

any suggestions??

French manicure is a good middle ground. You can use it on vacation and also when you get back.

french is great for the hands - but i am not so much a fan on the toes. i was thinking of doing the same color for both.

is it bad to go that dark on your toes?

how about hot pink? That's my go-to color, but that's mostly b/c i just adore pink! You could also try a baby pink or coral color.

ps: for what it's worth, my initial thought was what bella suggested. i think it can look nice on toes too.

I say just go with whatever colours you like and think suits you. Don't worry about being too tropical or too wintery. Go with what makes you look and feel good - that's the whole point of a pedi I reckon!!

I got my birthday pedi last week and went for "NYC fire truck red". I either get red, really dark mahogany, dark blue/black or black. And that's in an Australian summer which I'd guess is somewhat equivalent to Florida???

I agree with Yublocka, I'd go with whatever you like. I personally like neutral gentle colors on hand nails an dark deep ones on the toes.

How about greens or blues? There are some terrific blues on the market, including several by OPI. Also very nice purples in some collections. And I think turquoise is going to be big come spring.

Purple is big for the holidays. I'm with Tanya--I usually wear light colors on my fingers (so chips don't show that much), and fun, dark colors on my toes (I actually prefer rich, dark colors to light ones). I don't think you can go wrong with polish, really, which is what makes it fun.
